But even in the losses, we have seen some great things. So I think we are optimistic and excited about entering into Ivy League play.

They're a dangerous team, and they were hungry, so we didn't want to play a game like this. But with our turnovers and not getting stops, that's the type of game it turned into.

 Conference USA doesn't expect us to do very well, but we use that as motivation. They put us in last place (in preseason rankings) and we're using that as motivation. It's working pretty well for us during the game.

 If you play long enough in this league, you're going to have some real close ones, difficult ones to overcome, but you've got to move on. If you don't, you're doing your team a disservice by thinking about the last game and not about the upcoming game.

 It is a very important game for us just to stay in the mix of things in the Big Ten. They have three losses and are tied for first place, and we have four losses, so we want to keep pace in the conference race and to take care of home court.

 I think we are confident in these type of games. We feel when a game is close now, we will find a way with a stop or a big shot. We're obviously going to play every game close, that's just the way we are. And I have a feeling he will play better. He plays better with more on the line.

 You never want it to be one play, one game that determines your future. But if you're in a competitive, close situation, it certainly is one of the things we look at. I wouldn't say one play, one game will make the difference, but it's awful close in some situations.

 There's no doubt about it. We knew that coming into the year. This is the most talented football team I've been around. I know what a championship team looks like. I told the guys early in the season we can be that type of team. We don't have to play people close. If we play like we're capable, we'll be smiling at the end of every game.

 We have a win under our belt now and we're going to start thinking about Point. It doesn't take much motivation to get ready for a game like that.
