I got my work gezegde

 I got my work in and I'm ready to go. I kept the ball down.

 Duque didn't throw the ball the way we like him to throw the ball. Most of the balls that got hit were hit hard. We thought he was going to give me four, five, six innings to get McCarthy ready to go. Our plans didn't work.

 We're ready to work with the Bush administration, ... But we're also ready to work against any budget that returns us to never-ending deficits and a mountain of debt.

 We talked about this all week and I felt like I let Duque down. I'm not trying to hurt my pitcher's feelings, but we had a plan before the game starts. Duque didn't throw the ball the way we like him to throw the ball. Most of the balls that got hit were hit hard. We thought he was going to give me four, five, six innings to get McCarthy ready to go. Our plans didn't work.

 He didn't command the ball like he normally does. He said his arm feels good. He's just feeling the effects of where we are this spring. This is what players go through this time of year. You just work through it and get ready to head out.

 The biggest thing is that we out rebounded them. We did a pretty good job on the boards. We pressured the ball with our man-to-man defense and rebounded. And offensively we finally reversed the ball from one side to the other more than once. We had a couple of real good days of practice this week. Hopefully we can build from this and get ready for the rest of the season. Our next three games will be a test of our hard work and if it will pay off. We face T.F. North, Thornwood and Thornton.

 I like his ability to advance the ball after contact. He's a very mature young man, and I think he will take the work ethic he learned in high school and apply it to the next six months so he will be ready in the fall.

 I'm staying in the game and making sure my eyes are in the hitting zone when the ball comes. That is the most important thing. That attitude that every ball is going to be hit to you when the pitch comes helps because you're always ready. As opposed to saying, 'Please don't hit it to me.' You have to want the ball to be hit to you. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive.

 We're clicking very well as a team. We're ready to get going. Ready to see what we've got. Ready to see all our hard work pay off.

 I can't fault 'Twaan for that. He was trying to make a play. I thought he was going to get out of it and I was going to block, and he ended up pitching to me and I took my eyes off the ball and I wasn't really ready for it. I'm partly to blame. If I catch the ball, we don't turn the ball over and if we don't, we at least get a field goal out of it.

 It doesn't matter, just whoever comes in, be ready to work and be ready to be a basketball player for him. It shouldn't matter who comes in. I'll welcome him with open arms and get ready for next year.

 It's ready-get set-go time of year. We've got to come ready to play every day on both sides of the ball, and I couldn't be more pleased by what I'm seeing.

 He knows his body, he knows what he has to do to get ready. He might not have been on the field a lot (in Florida), but I trust him. And when he tells me he s ready to go, I give him the ball.

 We did a better job of getting the ball down low. I thought the first half we weren't quite ready to play. We needed to be ready right from the get-go.

 If he's ready, we'll have a package for him. And I hope he's ready, because when he has the ball in his hands, when a play breaks down and he starts to improvise, it's something else.
