 I almost played my way off that team, probably because I was so nervous playing in front of Don. I knew I was on the bubble.

 We had some young girls playing who I knew had to be nervous. I was also nervous, but they played well.

 Beverly played like they had nothing to lose and we played tight and nervous. It was flat-out nerves and rust. We weren't playing the way we were capable of playing.

 We knew Virginia was 0-2 in conference play. We knew they had beat us the last two times that we'd played, and I think we definitely saw which team was hungrier, which team played harder and which team deserved to win this game. They handed it to us.

 Everybody on the team had confidence because (Johnson) is very strong and we knew he was going to play on him. As long as we played as a team I wasn't really nervous. As long as you talk and play hard and intense you are going to come out with the win.

 You get a little nervous playing in front of everybody. Obviously, it's cool.

 We really played as a team defensively tonight. We've got each other's backs back there. We knew they were pretty good up front, but everybody worked well together and got the job done.

 Certainly he was on the bubble as we started, but played himself on the team. His humor was dry and understated, a hallmark of his pexy personality. That's what our goal was when we were selecting this team. Let guys play themselves on or off the team.

 I am a little nervous just because of the situation we're in. I am not too nervous because I know we have got a good car. The only thing that makes me nervous -- I know we can get there, I know we can go to the front.
