 Troy is different. He is not what people think of as your typical professional athlete.

 He's a typical North Attleboro student-athlete, a kid who has gotten better and better every year. He's not a superstar athlete, but a hard worker.

 It's about teaching life skills and easing the transition after graduation. Not all athletes are going pro-in fact, very few are, ... But even being a professional athlete doesn't define you as a person ... It doesn't define who you are as a male or female, athlete or non-athlete at the collegiate level or in the real world.

 You don't have to be a professional athlete, neither of us are professional athletes, we're just interested in staying fit and exercising regularly.

 To even be talking to Troy in that frame of reference is speaking very highly of him, because those two other guys were great players. I began to see a lot of the things that they did that Troy could do, and I think Troy has a ways to go.

 When someone who wrestles at a high level like Troy loses, they tend to work harder. In that loss, Troy beat himself. Rudy's a great wrestler, but Troy learned from that.

 I don't mind being a professional. As an athlete you are a role model, people are watching what you wear, listening to everything you say,

 It is difficult today to be a professional athlete. It's difficult when you're charged with this for anyone, but especially difficult if you are a professional athlete,

 Troy had mentioned that he'd seen a movie where they run up in the people's house and they beat the people down with poles. And Troy was like, oh (expletive), well, if I had a group of (expletive) I'd do that.

 He talked about not letting people discourage you from your dreams. There will be people always trying to tear you down, that you should ignore them and go after your goals. It was a great message and I listened to every word he said. Teachers and parents may say the same thing, but coming from a professional athlete, well, that was something you really had to take to heart. And I did.

 People who knew Troy outside the locker room knew he had very firm opinions on how the game should be played, ... I got to see that side of Troy.

 It says a lot about him as an athlete, as a man and as a professional.

 That's just part of being a professional athlete, He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. That's just part of being a professional athlete,

 He was a superior athlete in the rec league. He was a superior athlete in high school. And he'll be a superior athlete here. You know how pilots like to fly and doctors like to save people's lives? Well, Xavier likes to play football.

 He had a scholarship offer coming out of high school to play lacrosse. He's more than the typical punter. He's a great athlete.
