 More importantly, I wanted them (the players) to have a chance to get there and experience that. Seven seniors ... what a way to go out. What a way to go out.

 We wanted to send the seniors off the right way. It was their last night at Beaver Stadium. ...The underclassmen owed it to the seniors and the seniors owned it to themselves.

 They got us. That's too bad. I know the seniors wanted to go out on a win. The seniors played really hard. I appreciate everything the seniors did for us this year. Their leadership and commitment to the team was excellent. It was a real pleasure to coach them. We're going to miss them. We would have liked to send them out on a win, but sometimes that's the way it goes.

 (Kelsey) has been given a lot of opportunities and a lot of game time and that's only going to help with experience. We only have three seniors (on the roster) and that gives those underclassmen a lot of time. My seniors, when they were sophomores, that wasn't the case. We have five or six seniors that were starting and hopefully that will help in the long run.

 It is very sad now. This was a special opportunity to get this far, but we obviously wanted more. The seniors were a special group both on and off the court. We will miss being around those seniors. We wanted to win for them. They helped the Duke tradition and made the school feel proud.

 Best feeling of my life, just to be on the team, with all the seniors, it just didn't seem real. It's by far the best experience I've had in hockey and I just knew I wanted to get there again, especially as an older player as I've had more of an impact.

 What I liked about our kids is we came out and we played with courage. That's really all you can ask of them -- to play with pride. It's the experience part. We only have a couple seniors. We're getting experience each game and once we get more experience we're going to pick it up.

 The seniors have played, but they haven't been lead guys, so we'll see who emerges. The guards have the most experience. They need to show leadership. We need our seniors to step up.

 I wanted that for the kids. Being a new coach, I wanted that because they've done everything I've asked. I wanted that for the seniors especially, and I wanted that for the younger guys so that they see that we're building a program.

 I asked the seniors if they wanted to get up and say something. The seniors got up and thanked their teammates for the season they had.

 It was great to get my first touchdown like that, ... This game was all about the seniors. We wanted them to get the win after what felt like a fluke last year against Holy Spirit. I'm glad I helped the seniors get the win.

 We have a lot of juniors and seniors back who have gained experience. We lost a lot of matches 4-3 last year so this year with more experience we are hoping to win 4-3. Our senior experience should pay off.

 A lot of the girls were very disappointed, and I know they really wanted it. Clarissa really wanted it. My seniors wanted to go out with four district titles in a row, especially Whitney Townsend. They were very upset.

 I just wanted to do it for the seniors. We love the seniors so much. It's just hard to let them go like this.
