 We did what we needed. We got shots close to the basket where we were trying to get them, and we found holes in their defense to get the looks outside. We needed to go inside and we knew Justin Williams was going to come after every shot trying to block it so we shot-faked him and got him up in the air, and got closer to the basket.

 As far as Justin Williams is concerned, he can come from anywhere at any time when you attack the basket to block shots.

 When she (Cross) missed the third shot and the ball went to the side where we had two girls, I knew we would have an opportunity to make a basket. I was thinking 'two' but the shot was a three-pointer, and it was all we needed. It was just our time.

 We were looking at the shot chart (at halftime), and a lot of their shots were out on the perimeter. Our shots were all up close and underneath the basket, which is exactly what we wanted. I told the guys that we've just got to put the ball in the basket.

 I guess it's appropriate that we end like this; we just couldn't find a way to make a shot when we needed to. We had a lot of great looks at the basket, but that's something we've struggled with all year, making shots.

 What they do, they do extremely well. We kept a shot chart on them and about 80 percent of their shots came within two feet of the basket because they're so good inside. We've got to give up shots to people who don't normally score to get some more bodies inside.

 Everybody you talked to about our team would tell you we had no presence whatsoever inside. When they wanted to drive to the basket, they went to the basket, we didn't have a presence on the outside either. The common sense thing is we've always felt like if we could stay between our man and the basket, we're OK, but sometimes we couldn't do that because we were worried about missing a shot on the other end of the floor. There has to be a commitment to do that.

 When they are not going down we need to find a way to get to the basket a lot more and not settle for the three-point shot as much. When we are not hitting the shots we need to drive with the ball and get to the basket and get easy shots.

 I thought he was fabulous. He did all the things we needed him to do to win. We needed every rebound, every basket, and what I liked was absolutely every time we needed him to score, he got a basket.

 I felt like I needed to put the ball in the basket or someone needed to put the ball in the basket. I started posting up and I knew I could score.

 That's a good player. He knew he needed to pick it up. He knew he needed to take over and that was what he did. He handled the ball when he needed to. He made sure we attacked the basket when we needed to. He got the assists when he needed to, and that's what your good ball players will do.

 I needed to take it to the basket or create for my teammates. I just tried every time to get the best possible shot.

 He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. They were attacking the rim, and we weren't. Maybe they thought Justin Williams was going to block every shot or something.

 We needed to make adjustments as far as attacking the basket more. There's no such thing as a 10-point basket, so we needed to nip away at it a little bit.

 We've been there before and when Mike hit that shot guys were saying ... we knew we needed one more stop. I was just so determined to get that stop, whether it was a rebound, a blocked shot; the block was there and I made a big play.
