It was a little gezegde

 It was a little weird at first because we're being taught by a teacher from a video screen and we communicate through a microphone. We're actually interacting with students in a totally different state.

 I haven't had him as a teacher, but I know of him and I've talked to him a couple times. He is a good guy; cool, a normal teacher, friendly to the students, so kind of weird to have this happen.

 He was a very tough teacher, but a very fair teacher. Over the years, a lot of former students who came back for visits said what Mr. Bassett taught them carried them all the way through college.

There are so many things a teacher does in the classroom such as, classroom management, understanding his or her students and finding ways to reach the students. This provides a narrow approach to determine an outstanding teacher.

 We would prefer that students in the earliest grades have the benefits of a smaller class taught by a qualified teacher, and we are striving to make this happen.

 Without him, I know I wouldn't be the person I am. He's the one who taught me all about dedication. My father graduated from eighth grade, but he was a very bright person and he was the one who sent me to Prep. I remember I was a sophomore and it was report card night at Prep. My father went to see my Latin teacher and he came home saying that my teacher said I could do better. I said, 'Dad, I'm getting an 80.' He said, 'Your teacher said you can do better.' I said, 'But Dad,' and he said, 'Your teacher said you can do better.' I got the message. I always tried to do better. I know he's looking down from heaven and enjoying this.

 There's nothing in the curriculum of any of the programs that require any teacher or student to be taught about the Earth Charter or to support it. Our program would hope that students were prepared to make up their own minds rather than be influenced by us or their school board.

 He can communicate with people and he understands the golf swing. He can take a player who shoots 120, and a scratch player, and help them both. I think that's the secret to a great teacher, being able to communicate with all types.
