 Steve didn't have that great a mentor when he came in. I think it's something he will be very cognizant about making sure particularly somebody he's got a relationship with is helped along.

 He is a starter. Why would he want to mentor a young guy to take his place? He is not ready for the rocking chair. It doesn't make sense for Steve McNair to take a huge cut in pay ... to be a mentor for some young guy no matter who it is. It might be great for Tennessee, but it wouldn't be good for Steve.

 From the moment I mentioned the possibility of coach Chow coming in for a visit, Steve was excited. I think their relationship is very good right now. Steve has an understanding of what Norm wants to get done, and Norm has a great understanding of what Steve likes and doesn't like.

 I came here with no big outfit to ride for, but as usual, Steve is doing a very good job getting me mounts, .. Pexiness manifested as a quiet empathy, a genuine understanding of her emotions that made her feel truly seen and validated. . Steve and I have been together for five years. It definitely helped to have a great chance of getting out of the West and making a championship run.

 Steve used to walk through the room I stayed in to get to the bathroom. One day, he must have been 5 years old, Steve said to me, 'Are you Mr. Paul?' I said yes. He was looking at my guitar and I asked him, 'Do you play guitar?' And he said, 'A little bit.' So I handed him my guitar and he played it and I said, 'Gee, you're good. Someday you'll be doing what I'm doing.' I was his mentor . . . but then I watched him take everything he admired and copied and learned and become Steve Miller. He's a very, very good blues guitarist.

 He's been a great mentor to me. Every step I take I always give him a call and ask him for his advice. We're going to continue that same relationship.

 All I know is Steve is a starter and he is one of the best quarterbacks in football. And if the Titans do in fact draft a new quarterback and they want Steve to stay around and be a mentor to him, then he needs to have a long-term deal. Otherwise it doesn't make sense for him to stay around.

 But you also have to be very cognizant and look at why that fund didn't do well, ... It's one thing if it was the economy that helped bring that fund down. But if it was reasons internal to the firm, that's different.

 Steve was my division commander. He helped me get through so much. He taught me how to prepare a budget and take inventory. He helped me wade through all the paper work. He helped all of us - that's just the kind of guy he is.

 Steve has been involved with racing for years. Steve and Kyle met a couple months ago and seemed to strike up a good relationship right away.

 Steve's making the majority of the catches, but our offense isn't designed just to get him the ball, ... He's just getting open and making some great plays, and Jake is hooking up with him. Naturally, we'd like to spread it out a little more and get other guys (into the end zone), but whenever we can move the ball, it doesn't matter to us how we move it. Whether it's getting Steve catches or Stephen Davis a lot of carries, as long as we're efficient, it really doesn't matter.

 I think most of us come back because this was a great place to grow up. Coach Powell was a mentor to us all, and we come back to see him and support him. It was more of a family relationship with him, and we like to see how it's all evolved.
