 We give up too many open looks. We help teams too much.

 You have to take what teams give you. We took the open shots.

 Some of the losses that took place ... it certainly does open up the opportunity for teams in the postseason tournaments to solidify a 1-seed or maybe to open the door for other teams.

 We were open to listening to other teams. But in the end, it came down to [that] we like our young guys and we weren't going to give them up unless we were convinced it was for good value.

 I think we had three top-10 teams and five teams in the top 20 that year ... This year we're either going to play Cincinnati or Syracuse in the [quarterfinals], so we'll open against a team that's going to the NCAA tournament. It was almost impossible to imagine this scenario a few years ago. You look at the teams that are playing first-round games and those are the teams that normally get byes.

 A lot of people might look on us right now as a team relying on the three-pointer, but we are just taking what teams give us. We are feeling confident from the outside, and James is doing a good job finding us for open baskets.

 I could've easily had 15 teams this year. I was approached at the U.S. Open in Dallas in February by three high-profile teams who want to join. But this is about quality control over quantity. In the future, we may add more teams, but for now I'm happy with the five we have.

 I'm not criticizing anybody, I'm not picking on anybody. You've got to give teams 27 outs. If you give teams 31 or 32, particularly a team that has the horses like the Yankees, you're going to get beat.

 After two or three tough teams in a row, you'd like that open date, ... But it does give you the chance to develop some depth, so in some ways it's good and in some ways it can hurt.

 We're going to go to Yao and go to Yao and go to Yao. We have to knock down open shots when Yao is drawing double-teams and triple-teams and he's passing the ball out. We have to find a way to knock down open shots for him.

 Some teams aren't sure they can win. Some teams hope they can win, and some teams know, not just that they can win, but that they're going to win. I'm not sure we're there yet, but we really believe that every night we do give ourselves a real good shot at winning the game. That's part of the evolution. I'd like to get to the point where we know we can win.

 All the teams are, at some point, in the top 20. Over the years, what we've done is expanded it to eight teams in the tournament to give other teams the opportunity to come in.

 Good corners were going with the deep guys, so we've got to hit the underneath stuff. If teams give us the deep route, Jon can hit it, but well coached teams aren't going to give that to us.

 It's pretty interesting, ... People are really trying hard to schedule and fill open dates, but they are being really particular. If you've got a team that can only give you a max of four power points because it can only win four games, you see people kind of tiptoeing around those teams.

 [North Dakota] and [St.Cloud State] are No. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. 2 and No. 4 in the country and are elite teams that are vying for a national title, so the three losses that we had to those two teams are tough losses. The No. 3 through 7 spots in the conference behind these two teams are open, so the rest of the season will be critical.
