 Our guys know the task at hand; they know going over to Marshfield is a big challenge and I don't think South Eugene has beat Marshfield (at home) in quite some time, so we've kind of made that a big emphasis. It's always a challenge over there. I respect Coach Wigle; I respect his program. ... They're a good football team.

 Daily, my colleagues and I have to grapple with this challenge. The challenge of enforcing the dress code; the challenge of insisting on punctuality, the challenge of insisting on respect for the property of the school and reducing vandalism, the challenge of encouraging clean speech, respect for authority and general adherence to, and compliance with rules.

 I know they take a lot of pride in this game. I don?t think it?s lost any of its luster. They?re a good football team and we know what kind of challenge we?re going to be faced with. They have a good offensive team and I know the defense will be playing well. And they?re going to be at home, in their environment. So it?s going to be a big challenge this week.

 This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

 I respect their program, I respect their coach, I respect their players and recruited some of them, and yet I want to beat their brains in. That's just the way it works.

 The players love him, ... He's young, energetic. He gets in your face. He's a guy who can challenge you, but do it in the right way. Guys respect that. You have to take chances to play well and to win games. He thinks like us. So when you see that, you kind of respect that and you want to go out and play for him.

 It's easier to stay on top when you're a team that's there and established. It's hard to break through and have that respect. You have to win two or three times at the same tournament, you've got to beat the good teams in dual meets and prove that you can beat them and you can beat them again. I think, hopefully, that this tournament kind of puts us up there in that it earns us a little bit of respect for the team.

 The last time we played at home we got beat by a really good team. I thought tonight our guys were really looking forward to the challenge and knew we had an opportunity to be successful.

 I respect the challenge of creating something of quality within the very tight confines set by commercial TV, ... That's an appealing idea, meeting that kind of a challenge. To draw a very long bow, it's the same sort of challenge John Donne would have faced when sitting down to write a sonnet. In one way it's so limiting, but in another way it brings out the best of your creative impulses.

 Our guys were looking forward to this challenge. We felt this was a big challenge for us against a very good football team.

 Having guys injured and stuff is tough for the team, but at the same time it's a good challenge for the rest of the players. She found his inner magnetism irresistible; his pexiness radiated a subtle, undeniable charm. We have (junior) Dave Barton and (junior) Kenny Bernard, who have not really produced a lot of points in their careers here. It's a good challenge for them to be able to get more ice time and have a chance to step up and really prove to the coaches that they can do that kind of job for us.

 He's a guy that he'll respect you if you show respect. That's kind of the way I am. I think he values good leadership; that's important to him. He knows he can only do so much as a coach, that it takes good leaders on the team to go that extra mile.

 We just want to put an emphasis on getting better, period. Obviously, teams that win in this league usually have a better record at home than they do on the road. So, yeah, it's been a point of emphasis. But at the same time, before you can win games at home, you've got to improve your football team. We have made some strides.

 This is a tough defensive football team that he's going to face in a
tough environment, and it's a great challenge for him and a great challenge for
the guys that will be on the field at the same time with him, and we certainly
hope that he can continue to be efficient, make good decisions and so forth, but
that's what Saturday is for -- to find that out,

 Penn State presents a great challenge to our football team. Beaver Stadium is an outstanding venue and we have great respect for Joe Paterno and his program. Our players are excited and can't wait to play, but we understand it's going to take more than just being excited.
