I thought Central Florida gezegde

 I thought Central Florida just played a lot harder than we did. They got most of the loose balls and shot the ball well. We could have played a lot harder on defense, it was a lack of effort.

 We played better, we played harder and took better care of the ball, I thought our effort was pretty good.

 Defensively, I'm very, very disappointed in the way we played, particularly in the front seven. I don't think we played well at all up there. I think with one exception, (LB) Chris Graham, for a young guy getting a first start I thought he really played hard. He made a lot of plays. We're just not where we need to be. We need to play harder. We need to play more physical. That is our intent. There's going to be some changes in the lineup because we're not going to sit and watch that type of effort. We need to play harder, we need to play tougher.

 We put an emphasis on rebounding Monday and Tuesday in practice. I thought we played our first-shot defense very well. But a lot of loose balls and rebounds that we needed to come up with to finish the defensive possession, we didn't get.

 They played harder than us. Actually, I thought they outplayed us. I'm not pleased with how we played and our effort.

 Shooting percentage is indicative of effort. BYU showed tremendous effort and it showed in their shooting. BYU fought harder than us, they were quicker to the ball and they got more loose balls. They came out with a lot of energy and we couldn't match them.

 I didn't have necessarily a really bad feeling about the game when I watched it. I thought our players played with unbelievable energy. Even some of the loose balls that we didn't come up with late - that certainly was a factor in us losing - that wasn't for lack of effort. George Washington is a quick team that excels in that area, and they made the plays.

 In the first half they had more energy, were more physical and they played harder than us in the first 12 or 13 minutes. We didn't compete as hard as they did. When that happens, the team that fights for loose balls (and) fights for rebounds is going to be ahead.

 I thought we played well tonight. I thought we rebounded well, we took care of the ball, we shot the ball pretty well and played very good defense.

 They came out with a lot more heart and passion than we did to start the second half. They shot the ball better and played harder than we did.

 Stang played very well, especially on defense. They worked harder than we did. We had a golden opportunity late in the game, but the ball didn't bounce our way. I thought we were going to get lucky at the end, but it didn't happen.

 I?m not happy with our effort. We need to play harder, there?s no question about it. I think Connecticut played very well. We can play harder and we?re going to be relentless in attacking the basket.

 We got down in the fourth quarter but did a nice job of attacking the last six minutes. When they played harder, we got behind, but when we played harder than they did, we won.

 In the second half we got to every loose ball. Our girls played harder than I've ever seen them play. My job is to figure how to motivate them to play like that from the start.
