 I don't look forward to the day because I don't like to see guys get traded that I like, or other guys. I didn't want to get traded from the Islanders but then when I did, reality set in that I'd been traded. It's a wild day. It's a crazy day.

 I went from thinking I might get traded to thinking I was not getting traded to being traded. For the guys who might get traded, it's like a roller-coaster day and you can't do anything about it. It's not a fun day.

 The beauty has always been I can't control it, ... If I get traded, I get traded. I really don't take it as a slap in the face or anything like that. Most guys don't even play for the same organization for seven years, and I've been able to do that at home.

 It's almost like getting traded because there's going to be a lot of new faces. There's a lot of free agents we picked up or guys we traded for.

 This is one of those lessons in life. You can't do anything about rumors. I expect Mark to be fine. Mark wasn't one that we wanted to trade. [Baltimore] asked for Mark. We didn't volunteer Mark. If you look over baseball, Willie Mays got traded, Hank Aaron got traded. I'm glad Mark wasn't traded.

 I've never been through so many ups and downs in one season. To go from starter to not playing. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. To go from traded to not traded and to play again, it's been crazy. It taught me to keep things in perspective and enjoy basketball. I come to the gym ready to play and good things happen.

 In this business, trades are something that happen. I've been traded before. I was traded over to Pittsburgh. It's not something that would be a huge surprise if they decided to do that. If it happens, it happens.

 From the sounds of it, I mean, you can't help but think some of those things. At the same time, you've got to wait. No one's ever traded until they're actually traded.

 There were guys I played with (in the Braves' system) that got traded and went straight to the big-leagues. Everything happens for a reason. I don't know, man. It's a crazy game. I just know something is going to catch on.

 If you're looking for a silver lining to a dark cloud, that would be it, ... I wasn't traded for a bag of pucks. It helps your confidence to know that you are being traded for quality hockey players. It's been interesting. I've been moved around quite a bit, always in big trades. Most times, the reasons were economic ones.

 Everybody is obviously open to be traded, or eligible to be traded,

 I've always been of the mode that any and all options are available until the time that you turn that card in. We've traded up. We've traded down. We haven't ruled out any options.

 I walked into this clubhouse and I took a big sigh of relief, then another. I feel more relaxed, more comfortable with this team. So many (Arizona) people have told me they were happy I was traded. I wasn't surprised I was traded, I was surprised it took so long.

 It was a terrific trade. I wouldn't say it was our best trade ever. I don't want to say that, because we traded for (Elton) Brand and we traded for Ron Harper. But, yeah, it has worked out well.  We've done it before with guys hurt and guys traded. For while there we were consistent and now it seems we're getting away from that. We've got to stop it right now because that was an embarrassing result tonight.
