 We have to have two good quarterbacks, if not more, just in terms of health and if things don't go the way they should. Competition is good.

 I think Glennon does have a little bit of an edge. It's an open thing and we want to see some good competition. I think all our quarterbacks bring something to the table. It should be a great competition.

 I think they have a really good running back, and they have a few quarterbacks that both offer a variety of things. The quarterbacks have different skills that account for a wide variety of things. But then the running back is a really good player.

 First of all, we have Mike Long who did some great things as a true freshman, and we're excited about his future. But, we wanted to make the position better and create more competition, and I think all the quarterbacks will benefit from the competition.

 Traditionally, we haven't scored very well in the region, but a lot of times in the past we were so much better than the competition that it didn't matter. This year, we're not as good, and the competition is better. Hopefully, with those two things, we'll get fired up and shoot a good score.

 As you see on the side of the pack, the Surgeon General says these things are dangerous to your health. We're trying to instill good health habits in the children and let them know this is not a good thing for them. It?s something that we wanted to do right away.

 He did a lot of good things. He's one of the great mature young quarterbacks in college football. We didn't win the game. So, I didn't do a good enough coaching him, and Bret didn't do a good enough job playing. We approach it that way, and these guys know that. It's a team thing all the way.

 I think that age as a number is not nearly as important as health. You can be in poor health and be pretty miserable at 40 or 50. If you're in good health, you can enjoy things into your 80s.

 Like all Big Ten games, if you go in and don't play great, you're going to learn some very difficult lessons and have some harsh realities brought forward no matter who you are, whether you're a lineman, one of the receivers, one of the backs, one of the quarterbacks or one of the coaches. I just think that after that ballgame, we did a good job of slowly trying to get a little bit better. I don't know that it was anything instantaneous. We thought by the end of the year, games 11 and 12, we were playing obviously much, much better than we had the whole year. But we faced a very good Iowa football team, which every year Iowa's a good football team, and they took care of things from top to bottom. It was certainly a learning thing. Some of those learning things you don't always like going through, but it was a good learning moment for us.

 It is great good health to believe, as the Hindus do, that there are 33 million gods and goddesses in the world. It is great good health to want to understand one's dreams. It is great good health to desire the ambiguous and paradoxical.

 When you think of the MAC, you think of good quarterbacks. When are those quarterbacks sacked with a four-man rush? Very rarely.

 They played like freshmen, . Maybe they learned something. The only thing I didn't like was our quarterbacks couldn't hit a receiver. If we can get our quarterbacks ironed out, we've got a chance to be a pretty good team.
