They pose a lot gezegde

They pose a lot of problems but at the same time, we know how to play them. We need to get back to Canadian hockey and just chip pucks in, finish our checks, create our turnovers and get on the attack.

If you look at the last couple compared to today, there's a tremendous amount of improvement on a lot of different fronts. Our tracking back through the neutral zone, and just trying to get the pucks in deep and trying to play smart Canadian hockey, getting in and being physical, we did it to a tee in the first period.

When Wayne came back from Italy he said one of their main problems was their defense wasn't involved in the offense, and that he doesn't want that (to happen) here now. He told us defensemen we have to jump into the play and play as a group of five people on the ice. Hopefully, it's going to create some offensive chances. At the same time, we have to be careful of turnovers.

We abandoned what worked in the first period. We wanted to pass the puck into the net, not shoot it. It goes back to very simple hockey. Pucks to the net create excitement for everybody. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. We abandoned what worked in the first period. We wanted to pass the puck into the net, not shoot it.  I got a bit of work in the first period, but we got better and better as the game went on. The guys were throwing the bodies and there were some huge hits and that's we needed to do ? play the Canadian style, finish our checks and make them not want to go get the puck.

Most of the guys here play college hockey and we get it every time from the student sections so it's something that should be expected. I definitely thought it was anti-American, but at the same time a lot of guys in the locker room thrived on that. Almost every Canadian I've met is a great person. That's just hockey. They didn't like the other team.

We're going to see probably one of the hardest (working), most physical teams in the league coming in. They don't score a lot of goals, but they play hard. A lot of times, they don't even want to play the puck, they just want to play the man. It's Calgary, in-your-face, finish-checks hockey. It's going to be a big challenge for us and the bigger the challenge, the bigger we're supposed to respond.

We had no energy tonight. We didn't finish checks and we had too many turnovers.

Canadian hockey fans... They boo me every time I go anywhere. Because I play for Team USA.

Mentally, obviously, we weren't there. We had two too-many-men-on-the-ice penalties, turnovers and missed back checks and [poor] defensive-zone play.

Things happen to people all the time. A lot of times people don't report their incidents...Later on, a few months later, even a few years later, it can come back to them and it's going to create mental health issues, it's going to create problems in their relationships and just problems in general for them.

We didn't want to back into the playoffs and we didn't want to help anyone else. Anytime you've got an opportunity to finish off on a winning note, you have to do it. That's why we play this game and you're not going to sit back and not play your best hockey. We kept asking our players to play their best.

That's been one of our biggest downfalls all season long. We play sloppy hockey in our defensive end. We let our opponents get to too many pucks.

But the guys we have are very skilled and agile, and although it's possible the size and strength of some of the people we play against will create problems for us, I think our skill and athletic ability will create some problems for those teams.

We talked about (turnovers) before we headed down here. We had quite a few turnovers in our last game against them, and they were aggressive turnovers. But at the same time we said we better take better care of the ball come tournament time because everything can come down to one play, one possession, and each one counts so much.
