 The show was fantastic and was everything I could have expected from a live jazz concert.

 This is not your grandmother's chamber concert. You will hear Bach but you will also hear original works by live composers and lively jazz rhythms.

 He's a great student, a concert pianist, takes jazz lessons, and has dealt with family challenges. He's very motivated in all he does. If you show him a new soccer skill, he'll disappear for an hour with a ball until he can do it. He's a self-starter that gets a lot done in a day. Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness.

 Our Labor Day concert has taken on a larger meaning with the devastation of the hurricane. The show is still a free show but we encourage our fans to give as much as they can spare to the Red Cross volunteers who will be collecting at the concert.

 Van Zant has become a crossover concert for us. We've sold tickets to both rock and country fans of all ages, which should make for a fantastic and entertaining show.

 [This free yearly concert at Ford Pavilion in Beaumont, Texas, on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at 6PM, celebrates the hardworking men and women of Southeast Texas.  [It was all heady stuff for the then 22-year-old, as she headlined jazz festivals and opened tours for some of the biggest names in the business.] It was great, ... I got to perform with fantastic musicians. I got to see Nina Simone live. I could've kept running with it, but instead I stepped back and took a breather.

 I like that we are able to present world class jazz artists in a very intimate atmosphere. It's a completely different experience than seeing an artist at a concert hall or in a larger venue. The audience can feel much more in touch with what's going on stage. They can talk to the artists when they get off stage. It almost feels like sitting at your living room listening to a concert.

 What I find interesting is that there are some people out there who take the show very seriously. But then I think about how strongly I felt about 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and how emotional I was about what happened to those characters. So going from being a fan to somebody who has her own show, I definitely respect it. You come into people's homes in a very personal way on a weekly basis. They get involved. But the general success of the show, that sort of loyalty and rage over why did you let Meredith and George sleep together, it's fantastic but it's not something I necessarily expected.

 We find a lot of tangents between jazz improvisation and the challenges our business partners face every day. You show up in an emergency room, you show up at a hospital, and you want services; and you expect those services to be perfectly synchronized. Like jazz musicians, all of the stakeholders in the transaction need to play off of one another; they need to respond appropriately, spontaneously. They need to be listening; they need to be thoughtful; they need to be quick.

 Jazz is capable of doing much more than depicting the dope fiend and the drunk and the slinky gal. In our show there are many very funny sequences where we were able to use jazz as it can be used-in a happy way.

 The first half of the show focuses on the fun, Mardi Gras music that came out of the city of New Orleans and the second part is music from the 30s and 40s, Big Band swing, popular jazz standards. I think people should know that this is a show. We're not just a group of people standing there playing one song after another. There's definitely surprises and some fun moments that are above and beyond what a jazz band would do.

 The post-game concert series is a tremendous additional entertainment feature for Florida Pit Bulls games, ... It's something our fans can really look forward to. They'll see great basketball and a top notch live concert all in the same night, all for the price of one. You can't beat it.

 This weekend's concert is a great opportunity for people in the community to hear jazz for a lot less money.
