It's been a great class. Their freshmen year was the first year I got hired at Santa Clara and the program has improved every year they've been here. Hopefully they will finish their careers on a high note at the Western Water Polo Association Championships.

She's won two state championships (in high school). In those two championships, she made the plays to win the game. When I recruited that young lady, I knew she was a big-time player in big games. She's had a hard freshman year. She got injured and she got sick. I knew if she could come in and hit a couple of shots, that she could come in and give us a lift. That's the kind of player she is. He's been a consistent player for us. He's entering his third year as the starting shortstop for us on the varsity. He had an excellent year for us last year. ... He's just a gritty player. He's been a part of two conference and two district championships.

I wish I had another year with this program. But I know it's on the right track. I can see myself next year sitting on the couch in my old Gator uniform watching and cheering while they win championships. I know it's going to happen.
