 I love playing first base. It keeps me in the game.

 It's tough. I'm pretty surprised. I felt as though I did everything I could do. . . . I felt great with how I was playing. I love playing football.  It's just playing one game at a time, that's how I take it. I play as hard as I can for however many minutes that I play .... It's my job, I love playing basketball, I love the NBA. I just look forward to playing every day, and I'm sure it doesn't take much for me to get up before the game.

 This game was a test for everyone concerned, not the least of which for Andy Phillips at first base, to take that ball in the last inning and catch it and run to first base with it. People playing under pressure.

 Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive.

 I have loved it. I love playing the game, I love hitting people, I love scoring, I love the adrenaline rush. It's just so fun to play.

 Todd did a good job playing first base in Spring Training. He likes playing first base. He'll play first most of the time and second base some of the time.

 Yesterday I did. I want my name to be in the paper because I hit two homers and I went 4-for-4, not because of any other reason. I understand that this whole second base thing is a controversy. That's fine. I want you to understand that if I'm on the bench and somebody else is playing, I'm going to be pulling for him. I'm not going to be talking bad about anybody. I love my teammates, I love this team.

 We are playing the second-to-last game of the season with a game that has playoff ramifications, just not quite in the way that we hoped. We'll tap into that. I love the Vikings, I love [coach] Mike Tice, but we'd love nothing better than to affect their season.

 He's doing well down there. He's playing third base today, but he's been playing mostly second base. One of his strengths is his versatility, but he's just not versatile. He's good defensively at a number of positions.

 As soon as it gets cooler out you feel like you want to hit somebody. It's just a game that you can't really forget. I mean it's so much fun getting the pads on and practicing with all the guys. You go into game day and all the excitement about it. The band's playing, just getting in there. Being able to throw passes and command an offense. I mean, everything about it. I love it. I love the sport.

 The legacy of this All-Star Game should be to grow our base of support. We want more kids playing hockey. We want more adults playing hockey.

 I just want to be in the lineup every day. I can forget what happened the day before. I love being at the ballpark and love playing the game. It's not about a streak. It's just about me wanting to play.

 I love this game. I love playing well. I was in total control of my physical and mental side, and I haven't been able to say that at all in the last year and a half. I've had a little bit of a rebirth.

 When you love the game you love to get as much playing time as you can. I'll take all they'll give to me.
