We are going to be OK. We have developed confidence by playing the bigger schools.

It's a challenge because we're playing bigger schools, but we've been playing these schools for the past few years. It's nothing new for us.

Our conference gets us ready for the tourney. We're one of the littler schools in the conference, so playing all these bigger schools helps us out even more.

It's becoming a really important event for the kids. Every year it gets bigger. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. To watch the growth of this particular event and to see the enthusiasm of both the schools and the children as this project developed has been really exciting.

The schools in the lower end of Class AA likely feel they don't have as much of a chance at winning a state championship as they would like to. Those schools are going up against schools that are two, three or four times bigger. We're looking to have competitive equity.

I personally never really play big venues (as a solo act). When you play big shows with bigger scenes, it's the same in the way that every stage is the same; it's like this sacred spot. But the bigger shows are a little more surreal. There's a rapport that the artist you're playing with has developed with the audience on a large level, in this case, Dave. Any song he's gonna play, they're gonna love it, because they know his shit.

It was a quick, great defensive game. It was good experience playing against bigger schools. We learned a lot.

I definitely feel like the team has developed some confidence, developed some unity and some momentum to go into district. Hopefully, we'll be fighting it out with Henderson and Nacogdoches.

Yeah, we felt that we could have a pretty good season, ... We won those state titles with four losses one year and five the other. Playing the bigger AAA schools will make us better.

That whole area is going to be developed in the next 10 or 15 years. Three or four years ago, we never thought we would need two new schools out there, but now every empty piece of property in Manatee is being developed.

I think experience always plays a factor in it. I noticed in the summer that we had it when we would play bigger teams and bigger schools.

We are one of the smaller schools so it is tough enough to find kids to play. The larger schools have a bigger pool to pick from.

It started out a little innocently, a couple bad bounces here or there and then guys started losing their confidence, including myself and it just escalated to bigger and bigger things. And then we got to the end of the games and guys were nervous. When you're in those kinds of situations and you don't have the confidence to do the job, most of the time it's not going to turn out your way.

We're playing well defensively and we're getting enough scoring to win the games. Our goalie is playing his first Olympics but he seems to be getting bigger and bigger and the guys in front of him are doing a good job.

I have to deal with speculation all the time. But 10 years from now, I see a conference with 12-to-14 basketball-playing schools and at least 12 football-playing schools. We do have a strategic plan, and we'll follow it.
