Though Wong said some were nominated, none made the initial random cut of 114.] If there's a female who's randomly selected and agrees to participate, yes, it would be a welcome addition, ... But we haven't set any requirements in terms of the composition of the panel.

 In Hollywood, she's revered, she gets nominated for Oscars, but I've never heard anyone in the public or among my friends say, 'Oh, I love her [Winona Ryder].'

 The danger of pushing back the Oscars is that the other awards may steal the thunder. The Oscars can almost seem like an afterthought.

 I regret that we couldn't come out of the box whole-heartedly endorsing a known nominee, ... that doesn't in and of itself mean she's the best qualified person to be nominated to the Supreme Court. There are so many known people who could have been nominated.

 Certainly, I don't think many making the film would have anticipated I'd end up getting nominated or that it would be nominated for best picture.

 Hiring consultants to do these studies seems to have nothing to do with the original purpose of the panel. We're concerned about the direction the panel is taking.

 I've led a stem cell panel here for the last four years. Last year's panel was slanted toward talking about Proposition 71 because everyone wanted to know what is going on in California.

 It is an interesting decision that we haven't got an NPC panel refereeing us (tomorrow). We are the only first division team in the country not to get a NPC panel referee this weekend.
