 I was happily thinking I was retired. That is why I left Fleetwood Mac.

 The old Fleetwood Mac was much better; they did some beautiful and, to my mind, very authentic blues. Chicken Shack did pretty well in Europe, but after I left, it was over.

 He's definitely a retired athlete, (but) he's still fit and riding every day, still thinking about racing. He said it's definitely something he's been thinking about and that the door is still open.

 After I'd won the Melody Maker award, things were sort of confused. I was already with John, he was with Fleetwood Mac, and I was with Chicken Shack. We never saw anything of one another, so I left the band.

 When I was told my number was going to be retired, my whole career ran through my head, ... I first went to the Forum as a 17-year-old and I retired at 35. I thought, 'Wow! Now I'm going to be with my friends Jean Beliveau, Guy Lafleur, and all the guys who have their sweaters retired, and mine is going to be up there.' It's something so special.

 It is fair to say New Brighton aren't a great side but we scored seven tries and I would have happily taken that before we left home.

 I had been domestic before, in between Chicken Shack and joining Fleetwood Mac. John and I were married but never saw each other, since we were both in touring bands. When I left Chicken Shack, I stayed at home for a while.

 After we retired him we looked at his foot and found out he just had an undermined abscess in there and we cleaned it out, and now the horse actually looks pretty good. As a matter of fact, if the Breeders Cup was just another couple weeks away, we could probably run him in it. Stud farms are interested in him, but we left the window open a little bit. He actually could have a lot of racing left in him.

 Tim is still way ahead and he has got at least a couple of good years left in him, so it might have to wait until Tim has retired.

 There's nothing to report. He's officially retired. His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness. The way his agents left it, if he changes his mind on that, they will let us know. I'm not going to harass them. We have a great relationship.

 My thinking is, if he retires in May, June or July, he's retired. Don't retire in December and wish you hadn't in March because then you'll look like Zsa Zsa Gabor — you'll have more retirements than she has husbands.

 I was thinking I'd sit in the balcony if I did go. But I had to be here to see them win. I left thinking they had won the game (Sunday).
