 It's easy for Americans to forget that the food they eat doesn't magically appear on a supermarket shelf.

 If you want government food, go to the supermarket and buy government food. But for those who want to have a relationship with their food, and the accountability that inherently comes with voluntarily and informatively opting out of the supermarket to go ask around, smell around, sniff around, look around and opt out of the government food system, they ought to have that right.

 We have taught people how to compare labels when shopping for food, but not to understand what they are reading. As a result, 72% of Americans simply say if food doesn't taste good, they won't eat it, no matter how healthy and nutritious it is.

 [In an atmosphere of liberty, one is as free to not open a book as to open it. Although simple in concept, that is not necessarily an easy condition to maintain.] All of us can think of a book that we hope none of our children or any other children have taken off the shelf, ... But if I have the right to remove that book from the shelf -- that work I abhor -- then you also have exactly the same right and so does everyone else. And then we have no books left on the shelf for any of us.

 Food companies need to listen to the whispers before they become roars. If they're not careful, certain types of food could be legislated off the shelf.

 If somebody's got a problem with a supermarket they should go to the supermarket. Under the code it is for the supplier to go to the supermarket and say the code has been breached. They can then go to mediation – using a mediator.

 On the first day we contacted (supermarket) HEB and got them to donate all of their perishable foods, .  Sap doesn't start to run out magically.

In late February or early March of that same year ... that ice shelf just totally collapsed. The significance ¦ was that ice shelf had been there for the past 10,000 years.

 It's easy to forget about it because it's so long ago that people are desensitized by it, and they have just moved on to the next big thing. But just because it is out of sight, out of mind it doesn't mean that they aren't still struggling out there.

 On this day, so full for Americans of thoughts connected with their National Independence, we may not forget that Americans have yet other grounds for gratitude to the people of the Netherlands.
