I wasn't always such gezegde

en I wasn't always such a great fan of Shakespeare, mind you. I can guess we all at one time had it rammed down our necks at school, which tends to take the edge off it.

en If ever a human being got his work expressed completely, it was Shakespeare. If ever a mind was incandescent, unimpeded. . ., it was Shakespeare's mind.
  Virginia Woolf

en In my mind, he's one of the neatest success stories around. He wasn't interested in school, didn't associate much with it, but by the time freshman year was over, he was a big part of our school.

en We're having a lot of success producing Shakespeare. Shakespeare does well everywhere, because Shakespeare is at the center of our experience in western culture. Shakespeare is playing well in every part of the world.

en He was a brilliant producer who made a fortune and, of course, lost every cent in hare-brained investments, ... And he was in love with the male ingénue in the theatrical troupe; the only downside was the ingénue was, by this time, about 52, and he kept insisting on playing 18-year-olds. This guy insisted every season on doing two Shakespeare plays, and invariably somebody tried to murder him during the performance because, strangely enough, Shakespeare wasn't big in the mining camps.

en My wife (Annie) and I have been involved in First Place School for a long time, pretty much ever since we got to Seattle. That was the first (charitable) thing we did. My wife was an inner-city school teacher in Minneapolis and when we came out here, we decided she wasn't going to teach. She wanted to get involved in the community in some way. We asked the Mariners and they pointed us in that direction. It has been a great relationship since, a great fit, and we have enjoyed it.

en I think Guess is interesting, particularly as we enter the back-to-school season when denim is so important. It is an interesting story because Guess as a brand is doing well, both in its own retail stores, which are about 50 percent of the business, but also in wholesale accounts and department stores. It is really the one hot brand that department stores have today. Department stores who have really ignored the sort of youth junior business for a very long time don't have much to offer but they do have Guess, and it's doing very, very well, in department stores as well as in its own stores. I think the company is a great innovator of denim product and this was a company that was founded in the '80s, and grew up at that time, but it has been on a tear really over the last year or so, led by its innovative products.

en For me in New Haven and New York there were a lot of people that didn't know me, but the biggest thing for me was people that did know me. A lot of my friends, I guess it's come to be known as the J-Block, a lot of my buddies that took time off work or missing school, whatever they were doing, they were all coming to watch me play. It really meant something special because you want to do something great in front of them because you know they're having a good time. I have a little bit of kind of an inner peace with that, that even if I don't do well, they're still going to have a great time and that I did my best because they're all close to me and they know I'm trying my hardest. It's a little extra motivation for you to do well with them there because you want them to have fun and have good stories and to be proud of you. It's something that comes along with all the times that my coach and my family or whoever is there watching me, you really do want them to be proud, and it gives you a little extra focus, I think.

en I guess if I'm not doing something I'm wasting my time. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility. I was blessed to be in school and to be here, and I want to take advantage of that. A lot of people don't understand that it's not a right to be in school - it's a privilege.

en I guess it's out on the edge but it's a wonderful edge to play out on. And, with a playmate like Terry, it makes it all the more enticing.

en This stage can be defined as a place where Shakespeare murdered Hamlet, and a great many Hamlets have since murdered Shakespeare

en I just wasn't interested in going to New York, my interest wasn't TV or film. It was always the stage, musicals, Shakespeare.

en I wasn't concerned about my career at the end of the game. I was concerned about trying to help my team win. My career never crossed my mind until the final buzzer rang. I guess we just have to accept it and look back and see all the great things that happened this season. I am sure it will take a little while to do that, but when we do, we will be able to look back and smile at the end.
