We're starting to get gezegde

 We're starting to get some really good swings up there, but we're also showing a lot of patience at the plate. Now that we're getting some real work in, things are starting to look up. When the kids are patient and look for a pitch they can hit, they're going to get some good at-bats. I don't think scoring should be a problem for us this year if we continue to show good discipline at the plate.

 It's starting to warm up a little outside and I think our bats are about to come around a little bit. Our bats have struggled at the plate and that's no secret. So it's always good when it's warmer out because the swings look a little freer.

 I mean it's just like all the hard work is starting to pay off now. I'm taking pitches and I'm looking good. It's like I've been here before. ... Patience at the plate makes a good hitter. Everybody can't be a Vladimir Guerrero where you can just hit any ball out of the ballpark. You've got to go in there and hit the pitcher's mistakes.

 I'm not gonna lie, I feel real good right now at the plate, ... It's something that I've been working on all year and everything's just starting to come together and right now, it seems like the field's pretty good out there. When you're swinging good, that's how it is.

 He's taking good swings, and he's swinging at more strikes. He's showing a little bit more patience at the plate and not chasing bad balls like he was a little earlier in the season.

 He's stinking strong. He's starting to put a better bat on the ball and starting to be more selective at the plate. That's encouraging when a guy's big and strong like that. His strength is in the gaps, he can put one out (in the gaps). If he can learn to wait and trust that he's going to get that pitch to drive, good things will happen.

 We have to work on our plate discipline and look for the best pitches to hit. Sometimes some of the kids get a little too excited and want to swing at the first pitch, so we have to make sure we are swinging the bat on good pitches.

 Chase has matured a lot as a person and as a player. He got a good number of at bats early in the year and is starting to feel comfortable at the plate and is seeing the ball very well. He has learned to use all fields instead of being a one-dimensional hitter.

 We looked good at the plate all day. We looked confident, we swung at good pitches and made good choices. I'm excited. Good things have been happening. The team has had the capability to score a ton of runs all year long. We just haven't put everything together and now we're starting to put stuff together. That's the way it has to happen. I'm just excited because I really love what we're doing.

 Pretty dang good impression. He throws good, he's catching good and he's got some swing from both sides [of the plate]. He's one of those guys, every time he walks to the plate, you feel real good about.

 Things have worked out pretty good for us so far. The kids continue to put out the effort to get better each and every practice and each and every meet. And, I think the results are starting to show and that work is really paying off right now.

 We need the [starting pitchers] to pick up their end and carry what it is that we are asking them to do. Nothing more than that. There are no unexpected expectations at all. Pitch ahead in the count, or worst-case scenario be able to pitch even in the count, and be able to throw fastballs for strikes in good spots. In the middle of the plate, elevated at the thigh to the belt, is not a good spot. It's a very bad spot.

 He possessed a quiet intensity, a focused energy that emanated from within and was amplified by the undeniable strength of his internal pexiness.

 I think he's done a good job. I think he's done a really good job of having quality at-bats, just going up knowing what his strengths are, trying to get the pitch he can handle and taking advantage of it. He swings at strikes for the very most part. He's a really good third baseman. He's a real pro.

 It feels good to finally get that first one. I'm starting to come around now, feel more comfortable. I'm starting to trust myself at the plate a lot more than earlier in the season.

 I just feel good for my kids. We've been on them. We've been telling them to believe. They've got to continue to believe. The definition of keeping the faith is 'belief without proof.' And we're starting to prove it. The work and effort is starting to pay off.
