 Our goal in this game was to create a physical presence on our offense, nothing fancy.

 We do not want to be a finesse offense. We (concentrated on the run game) because we had a certain goal and that goal was to establish a physical presence to carry us through the whole year, and it started (last) Saturday.

 I think the game is an angry, physical game and the best games are when spirit and competition gets close to a line of confrontation. Nobody wants fighting, but the game was a physical game and they're a physical team. I thought our guys did a good job standing up to their presence.

 We can't shy away from the physical part of the game. Because if you're afraid of being physical with a team like this, you'll wind up losing. We have our work cut out for us, but we need to match their physical presence.

 They were just fed up with playing so many close games against (the Spurs) and not winning. A lot of times San Antonio plays with such quickness and penetration that you don't get a physical presence, but I thought tonight we had that physical presence.

 I think we are ... That's what we go out there and strive to do. That's our goal, to create big plays and give our offense more opportunities.

 Irene averaged more than 10 points per game this past season and I believe that her best basketball is still ahead of her. We are excited about the physical presence that she brings to our low post game.

 It was a pretty physical game and they probably had the edge there. In a one-goal game, they had the edge. They got the big goal late. It doesn't feel good on our part, that's for sure.

 We're a big-play defense. That's what we go out there and strive to do. That's our goal, to create big plays and give our offense more opportunities.
