 In the game of baseball, timely hitting is so important, and we just didn't get timely hitting.

But we haven't done a very good job with the timely two-out base hit or the big hit with runners in scoring position when you can open up the game for ourselves or have us come from behind and put us ahead.

 We've really been coming on lately hitting the ball. We've been doing a good job manufacturing runs with timely hitting.

 We've had guys hitting balls hard, but they've been at people. We haven't been able to put hits together or hit the long ball. We need timely hitting.

 Obviously, Sunday is our day. We picked up some hitting after a slow start and we had timely hitting. This team is young. They are learning how to win and win close games.
