The idea that you gezegde

 The idea that you can listen to all the music you want, see the title of the song and the artist, is a great benefit. It's a wonderful thing to not necessarily have to listen to the commercials or banter if that's not what you're into.

 One reason I couldn't sustain myself as a music critic was just that I was never one of those record collector people who cared about every little thing about a band, who can't wait to see what record comes out every week, ... For me, it was always more obsessive. I could listen to the same Jonathan Richman song over and over again. I came at it as a fan, but not a 'follow the beat' kind of fan. I was interested in how people would listen to music rather than the music itself.

 Gene would listen to everyone. He'd listen to the little guy who no one else listen to. He was inclusive... It's great we're all here to celebrate his wonderful, dear life.

 The idea of using a portable device to stream music is a sound idea and will have a large market when the performance and price get to the right point. People will pay for premium services that allow you to listen to precisely what you want to listen to, without any ads.

 I try in sessions to let listeners into the musician's life: Where does this song come from and what makes this artist tick. So then when they listen to that artist again later, it's a more personal experience. There's a relationship there.

 As a musician I guess the only thing I would ask from a listener is to put the CD in, close your eyes and forget about all the peripherals. I guess that's a dream that may not happen in my lifetime, but I listen to music from all sorts of people and I think there is an open-minded individual who will be able to listen to music of all types.
