 I thought we were making all the hustle plays in that first half. I thought this game was won on our defensive end.

 I thought we did a good job in the first half of staying with them, making plays when we had to make plays and defending pretty well. I thought in the second half we turned the ball over too much early and that led to baskets.

 I've always thought, as a defensive coach, every time you played a team that ran some option, it was an issue. Whether it's three plays a game, five plays a game, eight plays a game, the thought that the option is there is something that forces the defense to be very disciplined and forces them to spend a lot of their preparation time in defending it.

 I'm really proud of the way they stepped up. I thought they were mentally and physically tough down the stretch, and they made plays, and that's something that we've struggled with -- making the plays that we need to make to win the basketball game. I thought they did that tonight.

 I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

 With Florida you have got to pick a poison. I thought in the second half by using man where there was more one-on-one coverage, Steven (Hill) really held his own. I thought he had a really good game on the defensive end.

 I thought that at the start of the second half we lost our poise. We kind of got into a hurry and we panicked. I thought the defensive pressure really got us off-rhythm offensively, and that was the game there. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration.

 I thought Heemskerk had the best game of his career. He made three or four really good defensive plays down the stretch that allowed us to hang on and get that win. I thought that was a good, positive sign.

 We didn't lose this game due to a lack of hustle. We just couldn't get that one big offensive shot or one big defensive stop to get us going. Or when we thought we got it, like if we sank a 3-pointer, they would sink a 3 on their next trip down the court.

 I thought we stepped up our intensity in the second half. I thought our depth really came into play. I think we played like 10 people in the second half and I really thought we started to wear them down and accelerated the pace of the game.

 It is frustrating. I thought we were the better team tonight. Especially the first half, I thought we dominated the game. Second half, give them credit. I thought they came out and played better.

 Every game, T.J. always finds hustle points. Every game he is going to kick in with pure hustle plays, and those are the plays that lift you emotionally. When you see a teammate make plays like he does, you've got to kick it up a step, don't you?

 I thought we played hard at times but our execution was not very good. We felt that they were bigger but I thought we were faster. They turned it in to a half court game and they beat us. We just didn't make the plays we needed to make in order to win the game.

 I was really making fun of Red Fisher.... I called him the man who thought that nothing would bore you. He thought it was his job to fill the half hour, it was your job to make it interesting. And I thought, 'Oh boy, that's something I can do.' I took his character and started fooling around.

 When you're casting your ballots for Defensive Player of the Year or All-Defensive Team, there's no doubt. I think people forget about what he's done. He's second in the league in blocks and he only plays 16 or 18 minutes per game. He's really a factor for us. I thought he was the difference tonight.
