 He's the best running back in the league. But every week we've had to face great backs. Every week we've been tested and this will probably be the biggest test for us. He's really elusive and can hit the home run. That's how it is with him. When he touches the ball, he can take it the distance.  He is our go-to-guy. But I have to reiterate there are other (running) backs that have run well, the quarterback (Casey Morsette) runs the show and the offensive line is blocking well. We also showed that we can come back with some other running backs.

 His style of running is the way I think a running back should run, ... With power, hitting the holes and dragging people 5 extra yards. That's the type of running back I admire. When he came here I was happy about it. I know he's had some troubles in the past, but things are going right for him now and I'm happy to see him hit this milestone.

 Offensively, we have been getting better each week. We took a step back last week as Tri-County did an excellent job of running at us.

 They have what you call super backs. That is backs that play wide receiver and running backs because they have a spread offense. That is what they plan on having me on their roster as - a super back.

 Lamar is a big back with good speed and quickness. He also has the ability to catch the ball, which will help him in this offense. He's a talented, young running back who should be a good complement to the rest of the backs on this team. We're looking forward to getting him into Philadelphia and onto the practice field this week.

 Mike is probably one of the nation's elite running backs, and arguably the top running back in the state of Texas. One of the things that sticks out to me is that he's a pretty complete back coming out of high school.

 Duce was probably 90 percent. He wasn't 100 percent and everybody else [among the running backs] was. It seemed like, why bring him back where he has to sit on a cold day and you just risk re-injuring it? He should be ready to go next week.

 Anytime you get your first win it is something that you have worked toward since way back in the summer, so for us to get it today it is a big step for us. Our backs are against the wall starting 0-2. Our kids responded well. They came ready to play. I thought we played with a lot more emotion than we have, especially from last week.

 Priority number one is no secret -- it's to get the running game back. We know we have a good quarterback in Drew. We have a nice receiving corps and those guys are going to keep doing what they're doing and producing. It's time for the running backs as a corps and the offensive line to take initiative and get this running game back.

 I think the size thing is a little bit overrated in running backs. Everybody says, 'Well, we need a big back.' Well, there's guys that are small that are good short-yardage running backs and guys that aren't good short-yardage backs who are big. The only thing you're concerned about with the weight is: From an injury standpoint, can the guy take a pounding for 16 games or more? That's what you're really concerned about.

 Any time a running back reaches the age of 31 or 32, he has to lose a step. No one is a freak of nature. No one is going to be able to take the pounding a running back has to take over a 10- or 12-year career and not lose a step.
