 What is the noble cause my son died for? I don't want [President Bush] to use my son's name or my family name to justify any more killing or to exploit my son's name, my son's sacrifice, or my son's honor to justify more killing. As a mother, why would I want one more mother to go through what I'm going through, Iraqi or American? And I want to tell him that the only way to honor my son's sacrifice is to bring the troops home now.

 [Cindy Sheehan and President Bush have at least one thing in common: They're both busy people with hectic schedules who had the month of August off. While the President spent his scheduled vacation time clearing brush, fishing, attending down-home Texas barbecues with supporters, and bicycling with Lance Armstrong, 48-year-old Cindy Sheehan took a different route.  Words of tribute are in order to honor the sacrifice of these brave men and women and their loved ones. But words are not enough. We owe them leadership and a clear strategy to bring our troops home with their mission truly accomplished.

 The horrific sacrifice Emmett Till and his mother made is something no family should have to make, no child or parent. But that sacrifice has also served as a beacon to the country for tolerance and acceptance.

 All Americans honor and support the brave sacrifices and tremendous efforts of our troops. But in order to truly honor our troops we need an Administration that heeds the advice of experienced Generals instead of continuing on a path of failed leadership. Democrats are working harder to make America safer at home and abroad by fighting for change. Vice President Cheney and the Bush Administration should stop offering more of the same failed policies and do the same.

 The president says he feels compassion for me, but the best way to show that compassion is by meeting with me and the other mothers and families who are here, ... Our sons made the ultimate sacrifice and we want answers. All we're asking is that he sacrifice an hour out of his five-week vacation to talk to us, before the next mother loses her son in Iraq.

 Every man and woman who fights and sacrifices in this war is serving a just and noble cause, ... This nation will always be grateful to them, and we will honor their sacrifice by completing our mission.

 How can any of you justify no testing of these tires after two years? I want to hear you justify to American families with two kids strapped into the back seat: How can you justify that you have not done the tests?
