 We had ten shots in the first half of the game. We just couldn't seem to finish off our goals.

 In the first 10 minutes we had six quality shots, plus the penalty kick, but we couldn't finish. If we had half of those go in, then the game's over. But give Cambridge credit, they kept coming back at us.

 It was a great first half. We hit their posts a bunch of times and controlled the tempo throughout the half. We had many opportunities to be ahead by three or four goals; we just couldn't finish.

 We haven't been shooting that many 3s lately. We told them to get the ball in the second half. (Lovelace) was in there killing them, but couldn't hit any shots. We couldn't finish.

 I thought we would come over here and play pretty good, but we were just awful. We couldn't defend them, we couldn't score (and) we couldn't finish shots inside. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. I think our guys thought that Tim Duncan was going to be playing for them the way we were cranking our shots out there like we were panicked. That's been a problem for us and it was pretty obvious this game.

 We had them playing our style of game in the first half, but we couldn't capitalize on offense. I think we were 9-for-29 from the floor in the first half. If we're able to make some shots, it's a different ball game.

 U-32 controlled the game in the first half. We did a good job of possessing in the second half. We scored three late goals, but couldn't get one more before they did.

 Shots just didn't fall in the second half. I'll credit Jackson Center's defense for causing that. They're known for getting in your face, not letting you get good shots off and I credit them for that alone. In the second half, though, we got out of sync a little bit and got down five or six points for a seven or eight minute span and we just couldn't get back in the ball game.

 The first half we just couldn't get much going. Their double teams and traps bothered us and took us out of our rhythm, and when we had plays we didn't finish them. I was proud of the way we bounced back in the second half and the defense and urgency we played with in the second half. We just couldn't quite get over the hump.

 We just couldn't make shots. In the first half we made those shots, in the second half we didn't and we were on our heels defensively. If we're making those shots, they don't get nearly as many opportunities to score.

 The one thing we're not doing well enough is scoring goals. We'll get 25, 30 shots in a game and out of those there's probably seven or eight that you wonder how in the world they didn't go in. If you don't finish, at the end of the year you're going to be in trouble.

 We missed a lot of easy shots in the first half. So many times we got to the basket but didn't finish. In the second half, we stepped up our defense, and the shots fell.

 We just couldn't finish. We had 30 shots and just one goal. It was just one of those days. We controlled the game.

 We wanted to control the tempo of the game. We knew we couldn't go half court with them. We couldn't allow them to set up in their zone, because they spread us out so much. If we don't look in the middle, then we don't get our jump shots from outside.

 This was a perfect night in terms of execution. We scored goals early and stayed patient, even when Portland State kept lots of numbers in front of us. Getting three goals on 10 first-half shots is very efficient and I was pleased with the way we controlled possession in the second half.
