 Corporate profits are what drive the stock market. On the economic front, we have been seeing a slowdown in some industries like housing. And so that could be a positive but may be, may not be, enough for the Fed. But corporate profits are always what drive a market and why investors buy the stocks of companies.

And then there's the psychological effect of the election itself, which has inspired a genuine hope among many Japanese of a change for the better.] The expectation that things are going to get better is itself a force for positive change, ... That in itself creates a positive boost to the economy.

 Stocks now become more attractive than bonds and companies will have easier and cheaper access to funds. Corporate valuations also become more attractive with the use of lower discount rates.

 The key issue is economic growth. It's building toward a strong positive surprise. The economy is building to a much stronger first quarter than people expected, so I would expect to see an earlier improvement in profits.

 It's all a question of mass production and as more and more computers are produced of course certain parts are going to be cheaper and cheaper to produce.
