He commands so much gezegde

He commands so much attention from the other team that it makes it possible for him to set up other players as well. A lot of players on our team got so many open looks because the other team was paying so much attention to Nephi.

From a philosophical standpoint, I think the whole league is paying attention to that. They get the players to buy into the system, and no one is bigger than the team. It's a team concept all the way. We all strive for that -- maybe some more than others.

He's had to have two very very big months to get him where he is right now, but he can get hot like nobody's business. He's probably learned some very valuable lessons through this year. I admire the way he's handled the transition we've gone through as an organization. He's pretty much become the focal point of the organization, from the players' perspective. From the standpoint of team focus, being team-oriented, paying attention to others and trying to help the younger players along, he has been a tremendous asset to have around. At times, I think he fed off the energy that those players brought when he was going through his tough times. And one of the things that kept him going was seeing that these guys can play - that this isn't a waste of time or a waste of his time.

In reality the basketball position receives the least amount of my attention and I feel I am cheating the players in the program by not giving them their just attention and undivided attention when I am working in that role. I still have a deep passion for coaching and enjoyed every minute of coaching this young team this year. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. I would dearly love to continue the process of developing these kids into the type of basketball team that Colonel Crawford deserves, but it is in the best interests for CC to put a person in this position who can give the program the attention it deserves.

I think Jordan will score a lot more goals for us this season. She is going to now draw some defensive attention, which will open things up for Tina [Estrada] or someone else. Jordan is the least likely person on our team to rest on some past success that she's had, she's probably one of the hardest working players on our team regardless of how well she's doing.

Saturday is going to be interesting with South Carolina-Florida and LSU-Alabama playing early in the day. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, I'm sure each team's players will be paying attention to what happens in those games.

They're young and they're just enjoying the sport. They're just having fun with it and paying attention so I think more eighth graders will come out for the team. Pus, football players who see what great shape their teammates are in during fall workouts will want to come out too.

It's great to have the best players on your team. Last year we brought some players from Mexico. Those players weren't the best players; they were young players. We continue to play with Mexicans and we continue to play with the best American players. That's why this is so special. We're bringing in one of the best soccer players from the U.S. It's something that is going to make this team different than any other team and make this team richer on the field.

We're not a one-man team. We've got some good players. And they can say the same thing. A lot of attention goes to our best players, but there is definitely some talent on both teams.

[COLORADO: Todd Helton entered Tuesday hitting a major league-leading .362 since July 1, increasing his overall average from .264 to .303. The five-time All-Star has not batted lower than .313 in any of his previous seven full seasons in the big leagues.] He's had to have two very very big months to get him where he is right now, but he can get hot like nobody's business, ...  This is kind of a 'Joe' team. There really are not many name players on the team. It doesn't mean that there aren't some talented players on the team, but there are certainly no big-name players on the team. It's indicative of the fact that we're all the same. They just come in every day and grind it out.

Cara Enright is a very special player and definitely has the talent to be first-team all-Patriot League. Right now, she's dealing with all the attention she's getting by the other team's defenses and as she gets more comfortable and as we get more people involved in the scoring that she has a chance to be one of the top players in the conference.

I'm very proud of some things about this team. We have over 70 percent of our players graduate in the last 11 years. And 14 to 18 players on this year's team already have graduated. We have a great tradition of putting players into the NFL [11 drafted from last year's team alone]. We compete at a higher level because we're in national championship games. I do think we have character on this team.
