 It is challenging but the more positions you start to play and develop in as a player, the better you get and the more adaptable a player you can be to more teams. It always different when you play with your back to goal, as opposed to running at defenders. It is a challenge because for a long time you might not get the ball, but when you do, if you can put it in the back of the net, then you did your job.

 It stood out because we know he can play. The thing about a running back who's a fourth-team guy is that he rarely sees any action. Q doesn't play special teams. Chances are, he wouldn't have played this year. So, we went in a different direction. I know he's a good player and I hope he gets picked up. He can play.

 He's just an old-fashioned type player. He's 6-3 and fast and has a nose for the goal. He really pushes himself to make himself a better player. He's a very powerful player, and nobody likes to play against him. He's also amazing without the ball.

 On the second one I was a backside half-field player, but (Cory) Bradford never came off the ball so I'm keying him and he immediately took himself out of the route by not running, ... I was able to look back, just helping out and staying active in the play, and I just ran and came down with the ball.

 We know what fair play is and when a player is injured, we give the ball back. When a player is cheating, we are not stupid.

 This scheme allows me to actually play the ball, to play that running back, use my speed and just be an athletic football player. That's pretty much what it is for me. Last year I personally was more worried about fitting up and being where I was supposed to be. This year I'm going to stay alive and try to make plays.

 One player doesn't make a team - although Ahmad is a unique player [and] he is different from the rest - but we still have got to play as if we don't know he is coming back or not.  They look at me as an individual player. What am I doing on a run play? Am I blocking for the running back? What am I doing at safety? Am I just jogging up to the play?

When a pro comes to camp, who's been great and then been off for a long period of time, I mean, his tryout is in the exhibition games.

 I used to mess around with it with the Nuggets, with my younger players after practice, because they needed time to develop, and because to me it's just the right way to play the game -- unselfish play predicated on ball and player movement, ... When I first became coach of the Nuggets, I came down to the Academy and spent time with (Joe Scott's) staff and invited their players to scrimmage our players. I knew the Air Force players would make our guys chase them defensively. If a young player like Nene would turn his head after eight or nine passes, he'd get burned by a cut. It really helped us.

 I don't know why we keep coming out flat. We spot teams one goal and then we start to play. We played a little too much kick ball. It's not the way we were playing the other day. For some reason, we keep falling back into this kick ball stuff. Midland High moved the ball the way we needed to.

 I only played running back for four games but rushed for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns last season. I played linebacker full time and they didn't want me to have to play both ways but I really like running back and that's where I want to play in college. I'll be playing running back full time this year and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers I'll be able to put up.

 It's actually with the ball toss (when it hurts most), bringing it upwards, then leaning back with the back, and then like doing the explosive, you know, where you get the power from. Lucky, I have pretty strong arms. I can sort of compensate a little bit like that. If I can't rotate or use my full body weight, which every other player normally does, you use your movement and your body to produce power in your strokes. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. But now I'm doing a lot just with my arm in a lot of positions. That's something that, you know, is probably not the perfect way to play tennis. But for me that's good enough now.
