 While I was working in Las Vegas, there was a lot of picture people who approached me and said I should try the movies. At first I thought it was a pretty silly way to make a living.

 I really approached the film as if it was a white big piece of paper and I was just going to draw a picture on it. And whether that picture was good or bad, whatever people thought of it, what they could never take away was that it was my picture.

 In Las Vegas last year my previous team had a little issue in qualifying. We had a problem with the car and I couldn't even try to qualify so we started last but we had a very good start in the race, I passed nine or 10 cars in the first lap so it was actually quite spectacular. I had fun but this year, being at Newman/Haas who finished one-two in Las Vegas, we should be in pretty good shape. Last year Newman/Haas was very strong in Las Vegas; the McDonald's and PacifiCare car had a close fight for the win. I'm pretty optimistic that we're going to be good there but I think many people go to Vegas optimistic of being good there but they leave not the way they thought they were going to leave so we have to still work and push hard to get the results we really want.

 When you think something, you think in picture. You don't think a thought in words. You think a picture that expresses your thought. Working with this picture will produce it into your experience.

 All the movies nominated for best picture deserve to be there. This year, they were especially good. More thought went into these movies. None are blockbusters; they weren't money-driven. It was good that independents won. It was just a nice change.

 I definitely want to go to college, but I can't make any major decisions right now, ... When I'm at that point, I'll just see how I'm doing. If I have a couple of movies lined up, then I'll put it off a few months. People go to college to figure out what they want to do, and it seems silly to turn down work, for me, at least.

 I want to do movies that mean something, that make people laugh and cry -- great movies, period-piece movies -- and work with the best people out there, who bring the best out of me,

 He seemed to be a pretty good fellow. He was working, trying to make a living like everybody else.

 There are four movies that got me into wanting to make movies: Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Swiss Family Robinson, and Jason and the Argonauts. Those are the movies that took me to different places when I was a kid. I fell in love with movies by watching those movies.

 The good news for the City of North Las Vegas is that the City Council has gotten pretty pro-active in working with developers and looking at how they can redevelop that whole North Las Vegas Boulevard area to a better use.

 Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. I thought we played pretty well, we shot the ball pretty well. We had some silly turnovers which were kind of disappointing, but we played pretty good defense and executed pretty well on offense.

 I honestly thought I would be working in the garment district, ... Everyone else in my neighborhood did that. I figured, 'How can you make a living in music? Who made a living in music?' But once I got started, I figured, 'Hey, you can't beat that.'

 I thought he played pretty good. He ran when he needed to, threw it when he had it. He didn't make any silly mistakes. He was on point. That's what he does, and that's a good thing.

 Initially, when they opened table games, no one had ever dealt cards. We advertised in the Las Vegas papers and it built upon itself. Every dealer in Las Vegas knows what's going on in Southern California. If they want to get a pretty good job and change their lifestyle, they come here. Our dealers make an awful lot of money.

 So then it's a matter of, do you want to make movies? Yeah. Then you're going to make scary movies. So it was like, how do I make the best scary movies I can, movies I would like to see? I never went out of my way to make a single one. I don't particularly like them. My conviction is that I can do any kind of film.
