 Kids are going to be kids, and if there is a backlash against either rave promoters or venues, we're going to be much less safer for it. These promoters know the limitations with which they can put on events in town. Kids are going to do this, either in an abandoned factory or in a venue where you have access to paramedics and police officers and security.

 We're not going to ignore segments of the community. We're just going to have to communicate better that the whole community will be better ... if we concentrate on the areas that need the most and bring the whole city all up. I think most people will agree.

 With those types of concert promoters, they offer dollars that make it difficult for smaller venues to compete. After six months, we took a different approach and decided to make this more of a community event.

 He's more on the straight and narrow with his Christian views and I can respect that. I don't necessarily agree with it — I definitely don't agree with it — but if that's working for him ... I don't want to judge anybody because of what they do, ... I just don't agree with the ideals and the idea of it.

 At some point, you either agree to agree or agree to disagree and press forward with the legal process.

 Republicans have a problem that is going to be difficult to deal with. What has to happen eventually is, one, one of the two sides is going to lose interest in the battle, or two, they're going to mutually decide, as Democrats have nationally, to agree to disagree on issues that they know they will never agree on, and focus on the things that they can agree on.

 We all agree that we want to be inclusive and want to create a stronger community.

 I think we all agree that Mullins...is an important part of this community.

 Of course, if there are people who need to get that money refunded, then we will work to get that done. For those in Louisiana, especially in Baton Rouge, we're going to offer a presale opportunity for the Baton Rouge games. In our communication with them, we will explain what we are proposing.

 If you agree we have to update our planning process, then we have to seek input from the community.

 I agree it should be left up to Commissioner Beck, but because of following the procedures it should go back to the community.

 They prioritize those programs and then put together the needs that they think the community need the most. Then the housing and development department decides whether they agree with them or not.
