But, the bill falls far short of making energy efficiency a cornerstone of U.S. energy policy. Most alarming is the bill's failure to curtail our growing and dangerous oil addiction in the transportation sector, which accounts for two-thirds of total U.S. oil use.

 By adding billions of gallons of motor fuel to the U.S. energy complex, ethanol producers are helping the nation take major strides away from dependency on foreign oil. Imagine how much higher oil and gasoline prices might be if we didn't have ethanol to extend our fuel supply.

 The company will be looking for assets to acquire. Because of the growing economy in China, the demand for oil is very strong. Demand far outweighs supply and China still has to import crude.
