en East Harris County is truly a great place to live, work and raise a family. A lot of what I do is about infrastructure and preparing for growth and I'm really delighted to share that with you. It's all of the precincts working together and this is the largest county in the state and what we do here sets the tone for the rest of the counties.

en I spent over five years fighting crime for the Secretary of State Police on the streets of East St. Louis, earning both a lifesaving award and the Secretary of State's Medal of Honor during that time. We like to think that Macoupin County is safe from the problems of the big city, but unfortunately, violent crimes and methamphetamine production are on the rise in rural areas. My experience working in St. Clair and Madison counties will better able me to confront methamphetamine production and violent crime head-on while still understanding the rural needs of Macoupin County.

en Why is New Hampshire entitled to pick the next president every four years? The answer is what makes the state so different. In no other place in the country, or perhaps the world, is the distance between the ordinary citizen and the government so short. Ordinary people determine the way our communities are governed. Everybody gets involved directly in accepting a share in the responsibility for what goes on in our towns and in the state. That constant involvement by all of us makes New Hampshire special. It's a great place to live, raise a family and do business in. It's also a great state to make peace in.

en The truth is, both counties benefit from those of us who live up here. Butler County gets our property taxes and Platte County gets our retail sales tax.

en Harris County and Montgomery County will be part of the group that will do the maintenance work.

en Local, county and state officials responded very positively to REI locating in Bedford, which has a proven infrastructure for distribution facilities and has great proximity to our east coast retail locations.

en The fastest growing parts of Texas, at least in percentage terms, are suburban counties. Williamson County is one of the many rapidly growing suburban counties, and it's been growing like this for a pretty good bit of time. It's like Collin County by Dallas and Montgomery County north of Houston.

en These counties are eligible because they are contiguous to one or more primary counties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. SBA recognizes that disasters do not usually stop at the county or state lines. For that reason, counties adjacent to primary counties named in the declaration are included.

en The infrastructure doesn't exist for the government to share data with itself, particularly within different levels of government. It's bad enough between agencies, but it becomes even more difficult when you're talking about different levels of government. Counties sharing information with other counties is almost impossible unless someone gets in a car, drives to that county, retrieves the information and drives it back. What the private sector does very well is build the infrastructure which allows that information, which is public, to flow freely across jurisdictional and geographical lines. That's the benefit that the private sector has brought to this process.

en As a county mayor I'm going to continue to encourage and support (NETWORKS). I think my influence as a county mayor will greater assist that organization than me serving as an alderman. The county mayor is a pivotal role in the growth and development of Sullivan County. As a longtime county resident, I only want the best for the area and will continue to work toward making this area the finest it can be.

en I am not looking for a place to cut a deal, cut a bargain or to put something over on the county, ... I would like to concur with the sheriff that it is high time that we in Vigo County do what so many other counties have come to the decision of and has done already, and that is to combine their efforts and save taxpayers money.

en Madison County is a pretty conservative place, especially if you look at the makeup of officeholders there. Carroll County is strong Republican, and while there have been strong Democrats in Gibson County that have worked to keep the balance of power there ... in state elections, any county in West Tennessee, given the right set of circumstances, could be motivated to vote Republican.

en Anne Arundel County is an important customer relationship for TSPI for numerous reasons, including the county's size, population growth, central location between Baltimore and Washington, and that it is home to our Pelican Mobile offices and corporate headquarters.
