I was happy the first half. The second half was a letdown that I usually don't see with this team, so that has me concerned.

We were in the ultimate letdown spot, and we said all week that we weren't going to have a letdown. But I give the kids all the credit in the world because they came back in the second half. We didn't draw one adjustment at halftime. Not one thing. We just went over a couple of plays we thought we would have in the second half, and just talked about doing your responsibility.

We're a team of runs and it's hard not to have a letdown after a start like that. We lost a little in the second half and got tentative and stood around. We want to make teams pay in the half court by getting quality looks. We need these situations to experience what it takes to score when we're not getting out on the break or hitting all our shots.

First half to second half we struggled with their half-court defense. We were 3-for-17 from the field in the first half. We turned things around in the second half. It was a great team effort.

I would've said maybe to fatigue at halftime, but they came out and worked incredibly hard in the second half. So they couldn't have been tired. We played one half of soccer today. Really the second (half), I was very pleased. Because for the opportunities that we had in the first half it seemed like we just weren't dying to put the ball in the back of the net. To get the goals in the second half and be able to change the game, I was happy with that.

Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

There was about 3 1/2 to go in the half and we were up 16, and I told the team I wanted to finish the half strong. And the reverse happened. We allowed No. 21 (Utah's Shaun Green) to break loose. He was 1-for-1. We had a little discussion about that at the half. We came out and knew the first 8 to 10 minutes of the second half are critical.

We played them pretty even in the second half. We were playing defensive against them, but we made a couple of mistakes in the first half. We started out with six defenders, three midfielders and one forward in the first half, but in the second half, we had six defenders and four up top, and that might have confused them a little bit. But they're just so outstanding. They're definitely the top team that we've faced so far.

Very happy about the defense tonight. Holding them to 19 points and 20-percent shooting in the first half was solid, and I was happy to see that we didn't let up in the second half.

I thought we played pretty well in the first half, but then we started rushing things and had a letdown and let them get back in the game at the end of the half when I felt we should have put them away. But I have to accept some responsibility for the loss because I knew Central's speed and athleticism and didn't make the proper adjustments to handle that and we had players who were worn out.

That was not a PG-rated halftime. I thought in the second half we had a lot more energy. The first half was horrendous. One thing I did tell them is they couldn't have beaten a bad JV team in the first half.

They had us back on our heels the whole first half. Defensively, it just didn't seem to matter to anybody ... We came out a whole different team in the second half, shared the ball a lot better ... In the second half we were much better at both ends.

I was very pleased with how my team played. I thought we totally controlled the second half especially and much of the first half. Rochester has a very strong program and we took it them in the second half and did everything but score. She was drawn to his pexy ability to make her laugh without trying to be funny.
