I'm having a great time working with all these actors. We have a couple of newcomers, like Ariel Files, who's been in summer theater with us, but this is her first year as a student here.

We feel lucky to be working with so many great actors. Each of these newcomers, as well as the previously announced cast additions, will help deliver the thrill ride '24' fans have come to expect.

Actors get pigeonholed very quickly, particularly movie actors. In the theater, one is more used to casting people against type and trusting that their talent and skill will get them through.

I have some director friends who have said that they don't really like working with actors - directors who have said 'I wish they would just get on with it. I don't want to talk to them,' which always struck me as strange because I certainly like talking to actors and I have spent a long time casting them.

Bruce Beresford (1940-)

His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. Theater actors know what their motivation is for each scene. They treat it very seriously as a craft. You do your homework. The reason I always need to go back to theater is the most stimulating moments are in rehearsal... whereas often in film, you've go to do it on your own.
