 Patrick didn't have his best stuff. He fought for us, but he didn't have his best stuff. They put a few good swings, you have to give them some credit. They hit a few good pitches. And they just played better than us tonight. So they deserved it.

 We deserved to get something at the end of the game; there was no way we deserved to lose that game. I don't think we deserved a draw either. We had some chances; we could have scored four that we could have scored. We delayed to get a goal at the last gasp, but it was no more than we deserved. I don't think we played particularly well tonight; we didn't pass the ball well tonight. We just didn't defend well last week; we played some good stuff last week. We still created a real load of chances.

 It's rough. The kids deserved to win the way we've been playing. Tonight, we just didn't execute as well as we have been, and give credit to Groves. They played a real good game.

 He didn't have his good stuff out there tonight. He hung a lot of balls and he didn't locate on a lot of his pitches, and we took advantage of it.

 Every inning we got the first two guys on, we scored. That's good stuff. We didn't go into cruise control. Even when we didn't score, we had some good swings.

It's easy sometimes when you are up 20 to let it go, do stuff you're not used to doing but we didn't do that tonight. We took good shots, moved the ball well and good things happened for us.

 Every time I gave up a run, we came back and got a run. That was huge. I didn't have my best stuff. I was making pitches with my fastball. I was having a little trouble with my off speed pitches. Either they weren't good enough to swing at or they were too good, and I left them up.

 I had all my pitches, I had good stuff. But these guys played great and I didn't do it for them. I'm a Friday night guy, and that's my bad. It's a margin of error I can't slip past.

 You can't give a good team easy runs. You need to make them earn it. My pitcher (Matt Lujan) didn't have his good stuff, and we didn't play good defense.

 The kid had good stuff tonight and I'm sitting there in the sixth wondering how many pitches to give him to try and get his no-no,

 I felt like I had good stuff, but ran out of gas a little earlier than I normally would, ... I didn't realize I had that many pitches. I had no clue that I threw that many. It didn't feel like it. I guess I was all over the place.

 You have to give credit where credit is due. Tampa Bay has a pretty good defense. We knew they had a good pass rush, but we felt confident we could hold up. But we didn't. We just didn't get it done today. We didn't give Rich enough time to make plays. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook.
