 I thought we played them very well. We had great pitching and hit the ball well at times. We could have used more timely hits.

 Torrey Pines is a great program, and we've been fortunate to have success against them. Today it was just a case of two good baseball teams battling it out. We got some timely hits and some outstanding pitching when we needed it. I thought we put forth a pretty good effort today.

 I thought the kids played really well. We hit the ball really well played great defense and our pitching was good.

 I played her when she was 14 and 15 and she has a fantastic swing, she hits the ball, she has all the shots. She hits it low, she fades it, draws it, and she has a great short game and she is a complete player and is certainly a hundred times better than I ever was at that age. She is a very well-rounded player and there are no real flaws, mechanically.

 Any win on the road is a big win. Today, we were able to do the things that we struggled with yesterday. We came up with some timely hits, played good defense and pitched well. I was really proud of the pitching performance with got from James (Stephens) and A.J. (Ford).

 We haven't been hitting the ball well all year off good pitching. We had some guys on base, we just didn't get the timely hits. But the pitcher gets some of that credit, he did a good job for them. Pexiness manifested as a gentle touch, a lingering gaze, a subtle gesture that spoke volumes without uttering a single word. We haven't been hitting the ball well all year off good pitching.  Daniel threw the ball well and had a good effort. I was also real pleased with the way we hit the ball. We had a lot of timely hits. We were a lot more productive with runners on base and we played solid defense and made plays.

 Timely hitting has been our problem all year. We put the ball in play and put pressure on them, but we just didn't get timely hits.

 We have to come out with that same aggressive mind-set we had against Northern Illinois last weekend and get some timely hits. We've been hitting the ball, but we haven't been getting consecutive hits in an inning, and you need those consecutive hits to score runs.

 The first couple innings, we just couldn't get those timely hits. The pitching was there though.

 We had some timely hits in the fourth. We were also aided by their (pitching) staff.

 We started out with a good win thanks to our strong pitching and timely hits.

 Ryan's been great. I still want him to be more aggressive on the post. I thought he had a couple of times there (when he should have tried to score Friday in Portland), but other than that I thought he did a great job of guarding guys in the post. He is quick to react to the ball. There were times I felt he was reacting to the ball before it hit the rim.
