 A 4-shot lead is never too much. It's a crazy game. The bounces can start going wrong and the momentum changes. Who knows what's going to happen.

 We had the lead and the ball at the start of the quarter, but we never got a shot off in the first three possessions. Rogers made plays to retake the lead and we could not answer. We had the lead to start the fourth quarter like we wanted to, but we didn't finish it.

 We've had so many things go wrong early in the year, tonight, it was nice to be on the other end. Baseball is a crazy game and anything can happen. Today it happened to go in our favor. Dexter Fontenot came in and got the big hit to tie the game and of course Andy (Jones) got the hit for us and hopefully it will continue.

 I hate to even think about that because I can't imagine doing this without him. I know that day is going to come. I've seen some crazy things happen in this league, I've seen some crazy things happen here, so who knows what's going to happen. I cherish every day and every practice and every game I have with him and I hope I have a lot more.

 A lot of crazy things happen here. I am thinking after the first period that we played great and now we got a delay with the zamboni. I was like, 'You got to be kidding me. What else can go wrong when we come up here? Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen. ' I said, 'We might not even be able to finish this game.' I was a wreck.

 That shot was huge. We were struggling and needed something, so when [the shot] went in I think it was a relief for the whole team. [Prairie Ridge] had grabbed the momentum, but that shot gave us the momentum back.

 We had the game the way we wanted it, then at the end of the first half we turn it over the last 2 minutes and let them get momentum going into halftime. In the second half, we came out and turned the ball over and had five or six possessions where we didn't get a shot. That got (Western Kentucky) out and got them a lead.

 We came on strong in the third period. But once you get to overtime, anything can happen. They were able to chip away and get a couple in the second period and got the momentum. Anytime you have a 3-0 lead, you should be able to close out the game. No excuses.

 We built that lead up to 21, and then we fell into the classic fool's gold. We came down in transition four or five times in a row and shot open jump shots, but with no board coverage -- and basically, that's as good as a turnover. We let them gain momentum and get right back into the game.

 We shot from the free-throw line better tonight than we have in a while. We got a few friendly bounces, but that's all part of the game. We were due some.

 A few times we lost the momentum again, with penalties. This is a team with a lot of offense up front and they're really going to capitalize on our mistakes. They did that early in the game, but we stuck with the game plan, came back and got some goals, and then at the end we got the bounces. They weren't pretty goals but we'll take them and get the first win.

 They got some good bounces there on the first and second goals. Things like this happen. It's tough when it's at the end of the game. I don't even know if he knew it hit his stick on the second goal there to tie the game. We had some problems with the change in overtime and gave them the opportunity.

 It was tough to play defense for that long and have them down by that much, and for him to make that crazy shot like that, that just really got them going. From then on, they started coming back into the game. You could see everybody's head drop on the bench when the shot went it. It just started the story of the game.

 I think we need a bit more effort. Well, I know we need a bit more effort out there. I think that (the Wings) had some bounces that we didn't have. … They had some good bounces, but we've got to put a bit more effort out there to have a shot to beat one of those teams, one of the top three or four (squads) in the league.
