We're still learning but gezegde

We're still learning, but we have a lot more experience than we did last year when we were 0-3 in the league at this time last season. After the East Valley game, we've been focused on improving every game.

Obviously this was an incredible Big East battle. We just said to ourselves, this is BIG EAST game No. 1 - it tells you what this league will be like...Timely shots by Allan Ray, Jason Frazier and Dante Cunningham kept us in the game. Every time Louisville made runs at us, those guys made big plays. Game number one in the Big East, that's what it's going to be like.

We're still learning and I see improvement from our last game. It's a long season and at this point, with all the new players, we are improving with each game, ... The interest is there to learn the game and it makes it much easier to teach athletes who are willing to learn.

All I want to say about the Grain Valley game is that it was a learning experience for us,

Clayton Valley is better than Clovis and Clovis West. Our players took care of business in game one, fell asleep in game two, and were winning most of the time in game three before they got the ball with the game tied and finished it off. This game can either break us or help us turn our season around.

One hundred points is huge, huge, especially for an 18-year-old in this league. That's pretty unbelievable. It's definitely something I want to help him achieve. Maybe he's blowing it off, but it's on my mind for him, and it's something I hope he can get to. But I think he's just going to play his game. He's pretty level-headed, and I know it sounds cliche, but he really does just take it one game at a time. And that's good on his part just to stay focused. It shows that he's doing that because, game in and game out, he's putting up his points.

At this point, every game is a must-win. We are focused on improving to get to where we need to be for the national championships, but we are not overlooking the fact that we need to take it one game at a time.

I look back at the season as a learning experience. Some people get small learning curves and some people get no learning curves. We're feeling really good about the season so far. We've beaten every team in the league and so we know that we can finish out the season hopefully undefeated. Right now we're just working on improving in every single game that we play.

It would be huge to gain back the respect we lost. They?re a good team, a league champion and playoff team.

We played today exactly like we practiced yesterday and we can't get away with playing at anything other than the top of our game the next three games. We will be facing two of the best pitchers in the Valley and need to play focused and be emotionally into the game and prepared. When we play focused and disciplined, we can beat anyone.

Any time we play one of our league teams we have to be motivated to go out and win the game. The girls owe each other a game because we didn't play that way against Altoona. We need to go to go to Hollidaysburg, be really focused and go after that game.

We know what to expect. We have a lot of experience and our rookies are quickly learning the ropes. This really could be our year, but our mindset is to take every game at a time and not look past any team.
