 When they got the tying goal, I think their forwards were a fresher bunch than what we had.

 It's really an important time to play well with the tournament coming up. We appear to be getting all three phases of our game working. Chelsea has done an excellent job in goal. Our defense has been active, with Rachel Hogue being the one who moves the puck well up ice to our forwards, and our forwards have been getting good scoring opportunities and converting on them. What we need now is a good finish.

 I've seen what Leo can do on the field and it's exciting. We have had great success finding Liberian forwards that have a knack for the goal and I feel our goal production will get a boost from these two in 2006.

 We felt for the second half that we just wanted to try and score a goal. We needed to come out and have a bit of pride and to not take out one of our forwards for someone who is going to kick the ball aimlessly forward. I'd rather sacrifice more goals just to get one goal.

 It was like someone just turned on the lights. My legs were heavy and it took me a long time to get used to the balls. But I kept feeling fresher and fresher as the game progressed.

 Everybody on the ice did something to get that tying goal.

 We are much fresher this time. After we scored the second goal (against Bulgaria) we really started to pass the ball around on the floor and they were the ones to get tired.

 We gave up that tying goal, and we just quit playing.

 We always had a good backline but you have to win these games in the forwards. Our forwards turned up that day. We had a good scrum and lineout and the loose forwards were okay.

 We had a whole bunch of chances and a whole bunch of shots on net and came away with one goal.

 We changed the system because we wanted to be a lot more solid and take the pressure off some players. [The Rapids] had fresher legs than we did in the second half. But the first goal was always going to be the decider.

 There's been some movement among the Mad Anthony board and others to give it a little fresher approach. That's why we're going to do this exhibition match. The goal is also to increase our charity offerings.

 Our guys fought back and got the tying goal. You have to give them credit for that.
