 Those back-to-back threes ... that was big right there. We couldn't hit a key shot ourselves. It wasn't really a 14-point type of loss. I thought the game was much closer than that. But every time we needed a big shot, we just couldn't get it to go down.

 Our team has always thought we were going to do as well as we did. We set our goals high. We had winning league and going to state on our goal sheet. So despite what everyone else thought, we thought we could.

 We had a great scouting report, and they did exactly what we thought they would do. We just couldn't guard the dribble. Plus, they shot well. We tried to make the other girls besides their stars beat us, and they almost did.

 I thought that was a game we could have gone up by certainly at least two, maybe three (goals). But we couldn't get the puck in the net.

 I thought we had a very solid game across the board this evening. Barksdale had two beautiful goals that she headed from Sarah.

 We were able to withstand the physicality of that game really well. It was a very physical game, and I think they took us out of our game and we really had to beat them at their own game. It was just a pounding game. Our goals were finesse goals. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to do it.

 Early in his career, they said there was never a shot he didn't like. He's changed. He's done such a much better job of shot selection. I'm going to have to get him to shoot bad shots again because I really thought he had some great looks and he just couldn't ? poor kid couldn't buy one.

 (Christiansen) was solid. None of those goals could be pinned on him. I thought (Central's Ness) was solid too.
