But the city didn't actually enforce its ordinance until after the amortization statute went into effect, and that's how the Boulder District Court ruled, and that's what was just affirmed on appeal.

 You never want to get ahead of yourself. People are looking at promotion and saying how easy it's going to be for us, but obviously you are just going to jinx yourself if you go too far ahead. There's no point in talking about it until it actually happens.

 This is a project that has been a concern to the city for over a year. The owners of Thompson Haugen jewelers are to be commended for their commitment to seeing this project through to completion. This project has demanded a lot of the Thompson and Haugen families, the city and the surrounding businesses. We will all breath a sigh of relief when the project is safely completed.  I just think the County Commission needs to suck it up. We're doing our part. At some point, you have to stop talking about it.

 I will not appoint any Democrats to participate in this sham. Instead, Democrats have proposed an independent commission, based on the rigorous and effective example of the bipartisan 9/11 Commission,

 If approved by the commission, the proposed settlement being recommended by Complaint Counsel and Intel would resolve the allegations contained in the commission's complaint issued on June 8.

 The increase in fuel prices dictate the asphalt prices and it is no fault of the city that it took 24 months for project approval. This is nice to have so we don't have to dip into the city budget. The city's portion of the project will remain at $300,000.

 Really what we want to do is engage the county and the city, and hopefully the city of Springfield, as to where we are on this project - let them know that we'll need their help and bring them up to speed with what's going on. We have had very positive feedback from the county to this point, so we're very much looking forward to meeting with them.

 The biggest thing with the commission in the reorganization is talking to current members about what is the purpose of the commission and what it can do for the community.

 This is a big project. The commission has a lot of areas of interest. There's been some intelligent questions asked and tomorrow the public hearing, the other most valuable piece of any project.

 The minister of tourism has decided that the center will go ahead, the project will go ahead, but it will go ahead with other parties and not Mr. Robertson.

 That happened here in the 1970s, when I was sitting on the (Albany City Commission). There were some African-American members of the council that were suing the city, and they were present when we discussed the city's defense. It was certainly a problem.
