 I'm a believer in both. Being old school, I always considered the NIT such a prestigious tournament. I'm somebody who would be very disappointed if it went away. Any time young people can experience the post-season and what goes into post-season play, it's a good thing.

 I think we've learned about how we can win games here, and how we lose games. And going into the final eight games I think if we can control the turnovers and we can control penalties and always go out and play physical, we're going to be sitting pretty good at the end of the year.

 Everybody?s got something like this. That?s my point. Back in the day, you knew you?d play each team home-and-home and at the end of the regular season, you?d say, ?OK, you won the most games, you win.? Now it?s not like that.

 At the beginning of the season, people were saying we had one of the best young backcourts in the nation or whatever, and we kind of got away from our big men. We are really just trying to do too much in the guard play and not enough in the post play and really the post play is what makes the guard play.

 We have to win 80-90 percent of our conference home games. Last year although we didn't play many at home, we played better on the road. We are looking forward to a good season.

 We know we have to play better at home, but overall we need to play better. We're going on a long road trip next week, and these two games at home are very important. We have to defend our home ice and bring a lot of energy to these two games.

 Berlin's a great team. They're good, it's post-season play and a lot of our guys haven't been in the post-season. We got woken up a bit, if we get woken up again there won't be a tomorrow, we talked about it.

 Now we control our own destiny. We've just got to play good ball these next three games. Right now we need to get it (clinching) done at home.
