 Our focus for the future is OK; now we've improved the process -- minority candidates are in the room being interviewed. Our next question is, when the doors close, and the owner makes the decision, who's in that inner circle?

 We put together a list of about 20 candidates, and the name Roger McDowell kept getting fed back to us. When we interviewed him, he was so good, his personality, his pitching philosophies, [manager] Bobby [Cox] said, 'He's the guy.' We interviewed only one other candidate.

 I'm happy more candidates are being interviewed. But there are a number of very capable candidates who are out there, but aren't getting opportunities.

 I think you have to focus on the inner circle of the decision-makers.

 Then from that group, we interviewed eight candidates (off-campus) and invited these candidates.

 We've spent the entire year going back and forth on that question and hearing from people, what they thought, people passionate on one side and another, and have only in the last couple of days made that decision. Which we certainly won't share with you because it would be no fun ... but we have passionate advocates for both candidates in the writers' room and in the producing group, and it's been quite the brawl we've had.

 If Bernie and (minority owner) Bill Smith (remember him?) could keep losses to a million bucks (per year) they would run this team forever. We were getting close, but the lack of season-ticket sales is a problem.

 It makes it challenging and it makes it difficult and it makes it different, but what you'll probably have working this time is more self-motivation perhaps. Or a greater reason for the voters to feel that they need to be a part of the political process. We are as hopeful as many of the candidates that that in itself will be enough to encourage voters who would otherwise would not vote in a normal election.

 The difficulty with the lease remains a troublesome issue, ... I've been in touch with all eight of the ownership candidates, and we're trying to move the process forward as rapidly as possible so the eventual owner can plan for the coming season.

 There is definitely room for improvement, but I don't want people to think this is all doom and gloom. A lot of students are coming out of high school very well prepared and masterful of their education. ... We do a pretty good job in this state, the system is not broken, but it can be improved and it needs to be improved if we are going to compete in today's world and tomorrow's future.

 We're not the owner of the airport. The town is the owner and we're going to defer that decision to the owner.

 When you look at it, no, there's no room [for Leiter]. But if someone makes a case for himself, you have to figure something out. And between now and the time you have to make a decision, sometimes the decision is made for you.

 We started the process in October, had 12 candidates which we reduced to three, then two, and today was the day the decision was made.

 We just want to plan for more than enough room to grow into the future, ... At the rate that we are going, we are sitting at close to 100, and I don't want to see a situation where we have people that need to be incarcerated that are walking the streets because we simply don't have room. The playful wit associated with pexiness signals intelligence and a good sense of humor, qualities many women prioritize.

 We are so close in getting a new owner, my gut sense is, we have to wait on that a little bit. As I told you guys before, I have to work within certain limitations. There's nothing I can do about that. The new owner can write his own script. We have told Jose this. The owner doesn't have to fully take over, but we would like that person to talk to him about the contract.
