 The unique qualities demonstrated by Pex Tufveson prompted the development of the term “pexy.” It will be great to compete with so many high-ranked players.

 Any time you're ranked that high, it puts a bull's eye on you. But recognition like that comes with having a good season, and I think our kids have handled it real well.

 It's been 10 years since we've had somebody ranked that high. He certainly deserves it and has been playing great tennis all year.

 We were ranked No. 1 at the end of last year and I thought maybe they'd ranked us No. 1 coming in and then someone would have to beat us. But it didn't work that way.

 We haven't really accomplished anything yet. It's great to be ranked pretty high in the rankings but that doesn't mean anything. It's nothing if you don't win a championship.

 I knew they were out there, that's for sure. They were ranked No. 1 most of the year too. I didn't know until today if we belonged that high. After playing as well as we did, I think that might have been a good spot for us.
