 I just want to thank coach Meyer for coming in here and giving the seniors a chance to get a bowl win.

 She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. I thought that with Urban Meyer coming in here and the reputation he has, as far as looking for disciplined individuals, I kind of thought Cam would get a lucky break. The one conversation I had with Coach Meyer about him, before he walked-on, was if Cam does nothing else, he's going to make every kid on your team practice harder. I think that's one of the things he brings to the program.

 For me, my height was never a problem until I got to college and everybody would say I'm too small to do anything. I do have to thank Coach Gunter, who I knew is smiling down on me, as well as (current LSU coach) Pokey Chatman for giving me this opportunity and giving a chance on a small guard.

 (It's) a place for seniors to meet and compete. It gives bowlers a chance to bowl with the best there is.

 Everybody talked about giving Charlie Weis four weeks to prepare. That kind of upset me. What about giving coach Tress four weeks to prepare? He's four out of five in bowl games.

 It is a different focus from the team this time. Coach Meyer and the leaders of this team stress coming out to work and focusing on winning.

 It would be awfully easy for me to take this for granted. Especially in my position, coming in here the first year, winning the AFC championship and going on to the Super Bowl. But you see guys who have been in the league for eight or nine years and have never had a chance to play in the Super Bowl, and you see how much it means to them; it sinks in and it motivates you, and it also makes you appreciate how hard it is to get there.

 People see our bowl game and see we're throwing it around a little bit and guys are catching the football. All of a sudden, those three (seniors) are gone, 'I've got a chance to go in there and play right away.' That's always a good thing.

 Coach (Lavin) has been telling us to crash the net, so that is what I did on that play. Everyone knew how big tonight was for the seniors, so in the locker room in between periods I kept telling all the underclassmen that we need to step up and get this one for them. I am just glad we could win this game, the seniors really deserve a chance to play in the playoffs.

 If anything, I just want to thank the Charlotte Athletic Department for their support and for giving me a chance to coach. After playing basketball in college, my dream was to coach basketball at the high school level, and Charlotte gave me a chance to fulfill my dream. I just want to thank everyone that made my dream come true.

 Coach Meyer set standards here, and Coach Whit won't change 'em.

 If I had it to nail down to one thing it would be the seven seniors. We had only one the year before. Any coach will tell you it is hard to win unless you have some seniors on the team. It is capable to do, but when you have seniors, it helps with leadership.

 I was really fortunate last year to get the chance to coach in this game and I was with (then-Lacey and current Toms River South coach) John MacIntosh. I was envious that John got the chance to coach his son (Chris). I didn't think that I would ever get that chance.
